Very common for the coolant temp sensor to go out making the computer think it is very cold outside so it adds excess fuel.. cheap, and easy to replace part.. good place to start

1. Is it stalling while driving? Or when it is just idling?
2. By using a lot of gas, about how much more?
3. Is there a lot of white smoke coming from the exhaust?
Make sure you use OEM Injectors. The white smoke might come at a 3.5 from a bad gasket bewteen the intake manifold and the throttle boy or if you have the 3.8 from bad gaskets between the intake manifold and the engine.
White smoke coming out of the oil fill cap is not good, it means there's water in there (white smoke = water, blue smoke = oil, black smoke = lots of junk in gas or ruined engine). I suspect bad head gasket or cracked block.
Is this a small amount of white smoke or a lot of white smoke? If it is a lot of white smoke it could be a head gasket problem.
1. Do you have coolant in oil or vice versa? 2. Pull spark plugs and inspect for plugs wet with coolant. 3. Do a compression test and check for a low cylinder.
If you have issues in any of these points you will need to replace the head gaskets.
