Need wiring diagram for climate control switch 1996 olds 98

You either have a loss of vacuum to the vacuum mode control switch in the heater control panel or you have a defective vacuum mode control switch.

Broken vacuum line from the engine to the vacuum ball or controller. Could be the vacuum motor also.

the compressor clutch is not working because there is no power supply
the ac switch may nit be working
check that the blower switch doesn't have to be on as well
the thermostat controls power to the compressor ( switches it of when cabin temp is reached
If you have climate control , check the climate control module
lastly check the fuse for the ac system

you have two (2) switches , one for high side one for low side, replace them both, about $15 each ! see how that works, go from there !

Its on the passenger side of the heat duct mounted with 2 screws

If the a/c does not engage as a result of the electronic control system in your 1996 Cadillac, the climate control system may need to be replaced.

However, if the problem is being caused by low charge of R134a in the system, have the system charged before changing that electronic part.

I have never seen a Cadillac Climate Control System do this, which leads me to believe that it may be more electronic than refrigerant pressure related.

If the refrigerant pressure was low in the system, the climate control system should still stay on 'auto' mode, I think, and simply blow warm air.
