Check the coolant, and make sure it's not getting in there, and if not, and no leaks, it is burning it. This can be caused by worn oil control rings, worn valve seals or guides, or even a problem with the crankcase ventilation system. The reason that you don't see blue smoke is that the cat converter is burning it up. This will go on until the converter gets plugged and then you will have a drivability problem.

Suzuki Grand Vitara 2007 - Efficiency low on bank 1 engine light. is it just the sensor or do i need a new cat? is this common?

Is the code P420 ? Is there an exhaust leak in front of cat? If not you need a new cat. Recommend one from Suzuki. cheap ones don't last more than a year or so. If it was a sensor you would have a different code. Can only be bad cat or exhaust leak before cat allowing fresh air to be pulled in.

I have a 2002 suzuki grand vitara xl-7 and it is not leaking oil but it is always low on oil what can cause that?

This is normally caused by a bad set of rings or valves leaking. The oil is burning off or escaping through the exhaust. Make sure you check between the Transmission and engine area for any sign of oil which would indicate a leak in the Rear seal.

How many quarts of oil does it take for a suzuki grand vitara 2002 6 cylinder 24 valve 2.4 liter

put in 3.5 quarts of oil and before you start the car check the oil level on the dip stick.it should be about half a quart above the full line on the dip stick(upper line) i assume you are changing your own oil and filter.start car let it run a little while shut car off let it stand and recheck oil level.it should be at the full mark.if low put in rest of the last quart of oil.recheck.most cars hold 4 quarts.

2002 suzuki grand vitara brake warning goes on and off

Do you have a brake fluid accumulator(ABS)? If yes, the pistons/pulsing assembly are worn, and may need to be replaced.

If not, you may have a vacuum leak in the power booster (located on the firewall). Check all hose and clamps for a tight fit/cracks,etc. Vacuum leaks cause intermittent brake failure lights.

You may want to park the vehicle on a clean surface, pump the brakes a few times, and check for brake fluid leaks. If there is a leaking wheel cylinder (back brakes) , caliper (front brakes), or brake line, you will be able to see it.

Leaks cause pressure loss, and, thus, the brake warning light will illuminate.
