Car will crank there is no spark have replaced coil and condenser

Hi Austin:

Counting on my fingers I make that over 25 years old, so the maintenance history and mileage become very relevant.
I'd be considering an ignition tune-up as an appropriate first step.
Changing spark plugs, plug lead harness (wires), rotor, cap, coil, Points & condenser (or solid state components.
Chances are it will show a remarkable improvement.

run the fault codes and check for cam/crank sensors. check operation of immobiliser. check fob key battery
check for ING fuse or fusible link near battery

have you checked the ignition control module in the distributor

Bit late here, but I love Datsuns! First check if you are getting power to coil on the + side of coil. Pretty much a straight path from ignition switch to coil. Then pull off coil to distributor cable at the distributor and check for spark on that wire when cranking engine over. If good, rotor, distributor cap, plug wires, or sparkplugs need checked. If no spark from coil, it should be tested with an ohmmeter for proper resistance values, or swap in another coil.
Does it have mechanical points and condenser or electronic ignition?

It has a set of points and condenser in the distributor that grounds the coil.
Have you checked the points to see if they are burnt or out of adjustment ? Is the distributor turning when you crank the engine ?

sounds like your ignition coil or control module are shot. Either can cause this problem.
If all plug wires are dead, no spark, and the module has power and ground suspect crank angle sensor. Of course sensor will break opon removal from engine block 4Cyl but in VA NAPA sells the sensor for $9.00. On the distribitorless system the crank sensor, module, and coils are all piggybacked in the same location, back of engine and is very difficult to service. When I was working as a auto tech we had allot of trouble with crank sensors and ign coils.
Before you jump to any conclusions. If your starter is cranking the engine at a normal speed(use your judgment), and you preformed all test for spark, such as pulling wire off spark plug and connecting positive end of volt meter into plug, and negative end to ground, you should see a definite deflection on an analog meter. All test and still no spark. DON'T forget to check your fuses and fuseable links in the starting and charging system. THIS must be done first. 50% chance, this is where your problem lies.

Is it cranking at all? If it is, the next to check is crank shaft position sensor

coil bad? check the ohm rating to see

check the main fuse to the ECM also check the fuseable link to the ECM near the starter

Possible issues could be FUEL PUMP, CRANK AND CAM SENSORS, COMPUTER. I would pull a spark plug wire and see if you are getting spark. If not, the first thing to try would be replacing the cam and crank sensors.
