Lexus / Toyota make something call igniters and you have to make sure you are igniters or operational and you have to make sure that your fuel pump is working properly because if you're not getting enough fuel you can have all the spark in the world and you're not going to get a combustion

www.alldata.com - it's $25 for a year-long subscription and gives you troubleshooting charts, parts diagrams, exploded diagrams of every system on the car, etc - it's an online factory service manual. Excellent resource that is well worth the small cost.

What is the function of the fuel pump and ignition coil pack for my 92 ls 400 lexus

The fuel pump pumps the fuel from the fuel tank under pressure up to the fuel rail and injectors.
The coil packs provide a electrical charge (about 40,000 volts) to the spark plugs. It is this charge that makes the spark plug spark.

Reviewing the tech info that comes up on a google search, this code is just about worthless for diagnostic purposes. Go back to basics. Does fuel pressure drop just before car dies? Once dead, if you crank it do you still have spark at the plugs? Most likely causes if electrical are coil/ignition module, cam/crank sensor, coolant temp sensor, bad converter or muffler.

What causes ignition modules to go bad in 1991 delta 88

Generally the cause of an electrical component to fail is high heat or extreme voltage load.
Is the coil pack and module getting too hot from the heat of the engine ?
Is it shorting out because of oil or wet surfaces ?
Could you be loosing voltage to the module from the key switch ?
Are you loosing ground signals from the computer ?
