I was wondering if there was anyway you guys would know if the crank has been updated or not, i guess they were all re called in 1998. please email me back at [email protected]. Most of these chassis and engines are basically the same. Which allows for replacement with like oem parts. You could get the specs to make sure. The only issue may be the difference in production year, meaning changes to various components and powertrain(mechanics of the engine)

Hello: You should be ok making the purchase but I highly recommend purchasing the extended warranty for 100,000 miles. Best to buy the GM warranty. Run a car fax on it.

Check it out. Under the passenger floor panel you will find two relays above the computer box. Pull them. Check them. One of these is to the steering lock bypass which is a $19.70 part at Napa. I went through this for a week and a half and refused to get taken by the dealer for 1400.00 dollars and GM's bull s*-! Recall. Check it and you will be driving more than 1.5 MPH. Best thing to do is take it in for a 4 wheel alignment. There is always a chance that a part is wearing out, or has been bent.
