Battery probably not the problem. If it is stalling while driving, is there a service engine soon or check engine light that goes on before it stalls? If so, there is likely a code or codes stored in the computer that should point you in the correct 'sensor' direction, or tell you why it is stalling.

No check engine light comes on at all when stalling out

Check fuel pressure and spark when it stalls. It may take several tries to see what is not working when the intermittent condition surfaces.

Someone else had a bad crankshaft sensor that caused a similar problem to yours. Maybe an intermittent open to this sensor is causing your problem. But, it should show up as a code if it's a definite problem with that sensor circuit.

The battery light keeps coming on and i put a new alternator and a new battery in it. why is it doin this?

Alternator is probaly defective? That is not unusual with the garbage they sell now a days. I got 3 in one day from part scource that were defective. End they were suppose to be brand new, Not rebuilts.

My chrysler 1999 300m keeps shutting down while driving it shows code p1684 so I got new battery and its still cutting off could it be my sensors are bad

Like I was saying just a few lines ago, it could be a ground that is dirty. (COULD BE).
Clean all the terminals on the battery, have the alternator tested, clean the terminal for the + and the - in the engine compartment, and reach in and clean any ground you can find on the engine (carefully). It could also be a set of bad cables for both sides of the battery. This is one of those trial and error situations, but if you do it logically, you can narrow it down. Start with the alternator test, clean the cables (or replace) and keep going until you hit on your issue. Good luck and GO!.

Car dies suddenly while driving all speeds

Hi krh60, I would strongly recommend having the cps (cam positioning sensor) and the css (crank shaft sensor) checked immediately, both can cause your problem and both throw no codes when running, in early stages the vehicle may start again or it may not. Ford also has a cps problem on their 7.3's also see if Chrysler has a recall on these parts you may get lucky hope this helps good luck to you.
