So good to know ,
Like virtually all cars with an automatic transmission, the fluid goes in through the transmission dipstick tube. You'll need a long, skinny funnel to do it. Read the owner's manual for the tips on how and when to check it before adding fluid; put in too much, and bad things happen. Oh, and NEVER use additives in a GM transmission, no matter what the ads may say. If it's leaking, you need to find and fix the problem; stop-leak products Will Not Work. If it's not working right, the ATF level is correct, and you haven't made the Big Mistake of putting something into the transmission that *isn't* the correct kind of ATF, then no additive in the world is going to fix that. (By the way, if your transmission occasionally goes into "hard shift" mode, that doesn't mean it's getting ready to explode into little pieces all over the road. When it happens, just pull over, put the car in Park, shut off the engine, wait about 20 seconds, and start it up and drive away. Most of the time, this will get it back out of thunk-clunk-chugga mode On rare occasions, you might have to do it twice. Parking with the vehicle's nose uphill on a grade seems to increase the likelihood of this happening. If it does this so often that you just have to fix it, make sure the shop replaces the little solenoid valve inside the trans that sticks and causes the misbehavior. It's about a 5 hour job just to replace that valve by itself, and much of the trans has to come apart to get to it, so you might as well do an overhaul at that point. This Is NOT A DIY Project!)

Slipping tranny can be caused by that. Rule of fixing cars is if not sure start cheap. Replace the Filter and fluid. Also it wont hurt to put in Lucas Transmission Additive with the fluid change. Change plug 2 ways if it has motor mounts on top then disconnect them and pull the engine foward. or
No need to rotate engine as I was told that sometimes this causes damage to exhaust
link which is flex. First two plugs can be reached by going
along the same channel as exhaust pipe from header runs. Last plug
remove right side tire and you can reach up by body to change it.
This one is blind, but it's possible.
