This light usually comes on if you have a failed wheel speed sensor but these vehicles are common for the ABS module to fail causing the same problem. You can back probe the wires comming out of each wheel speed sensor with the wheel lifted in the air and check for ac voltage as you spin the wheel.

What ever sensor does not put out voltage needs to be replaced if they all seeem to work it is likely the ABS module. You can get a used abs module from www.car-parts.com sort by price and have them ship it to you. But before you replace any parts you would want to have the ABS module checked for codes at one of your local shops that has a high end scantool that can access those codes.

Hope this helps and just keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa.

This sounds like the ever familiar ABS modulator failing. However, VADIS doesn't list a OEM code with P1633 (it goes from 1632 to 1635). The 16xx codes normally relate to CAN bus or an individual controller. All ABS warning lights go through the ABS module, which is why you are seeing all three of those lit up.

you have a bad wheel sensor you must get it scanned to find out which one it is.abs and traction control use the same information from the wheel sensors.

It sounds like some of your problem is in your ABS module. These commonly go bad. Contact this guy about a rebuild, http://home.earthlink.net/~vicrocha/ it's much cheaper than buying a new one. After that lets see what you still have malfunctioning.

Will the ABS module be damage

if the sensor are actually bad they wont cause any damage to the module but if you were getting codes for the sensors you should spin the wheels with car off ground to see if they are bad 1 at a time if they all show speed then your module was bad the whole time this is common with volvos

Volvo s60 abs systems

it is most likely that the abs module is faulty,, if the fault codes are read and it shows a fault with the right rear sensor then the module is faulty,,they usually go wrong at about 110//140k
