Not turning over is an electrical problem.

You CANNOT repair a leaky line, I'm afraid. You will need to replace the leaky section. Don;t forget to bleed the brakes afterwards.

It's just a matter of following the line. If you get confused, try marking it with chalk as you go.

Just did this last week. Repair manual says to disconnect exhaust, power steering lines, shift linkage (manual), support engine, unbolt from subframe, then lower subframe. I said bull. I merely cut the two bolts in the front and went to my local u-pull it for the 2 bolts. When I installed them, I went up from underneath and put the nuts on the top. The back 2 remained the same.

Recommend a 1996 Ford Contour Chilton's repair book. Available a most auto parts stores. It will give you step by step directions for changing your timing belt if you need it and a lot more. about $19-$25.

Use a pry bar of some type or a pipe to pry the control arm/knuckle assemply down untill you can line them up and get the bolt in.

Make sure you jack stands are poistioned away from any of the moving suspension parts, so they will not impair you moving it down.
