SOURCE: Power steering fluid leak in two places on power rod under truck
it sounds like tour power steering rack and pinion may be leaking this is what you call the actuator rod.
SOURCE: Whini.ng when in movement, doesn't whine when parked or neutral
It may not be your trans at all. Look in the wheel wells for any loose plastic panels/mud flaps that may be hitting the tire. Give a slight tug on those panels to see if they are loose. Many times a loose panel will only contact the wheel when there is air moving to push it into the tire.

SOURCE: rattling noise from front near alternator
Hi.
I think the problem is the power take off for the front fan ,steering etc. Underneath the middle of the car you will see what looks like a small propshaft pointing towards the front with a doughnut shapped mounting bolted to each end. These rubber joints wear and rattle on tick over or low revs cost is about £40 for the 2 from Japarts
Takes about 2 hours to change.Hope this helps Good luck
SOURCE: whining in the engine
I had the same whining noise, but after a minute or two it would go away. It turned out to be my water pump. It wouldnt turn first thing in the morning and the belt was just running through the pulley, (causing the whining noise). This may not be your problem, but it is easy to check. Just pop your hood and see if the fan is turning.
