If you decide to purchase a manual as the last expert suggested, I would recommend that you replace the entire axle as an assembly. It will be quicker and easier than replacing the boot, as I'm sure the CV joint itself is most likely bad due to no grease from a damaged boot.

Hello: Your best bet would be to go to Auto Zone or Advance Auto parts store and buy a manual for your HYUNDAI It will give you step by step instructions with illustrations, torque specs etc. The cost of the manual will be less than 25.00.

Front boots are leaking

They make a puller that removes the CV joint from the axle the c-clip gets stuck making it difficult to remove. I have this tool and it works about 60% of the time . instead of wasting your time replace the axle shaft.

Hello whiteorch88,

The clicking sound could be from one or both "CV" axles being bad. I'd check them a torn boot with grease slung over the fender well or engine compartment would be a sure sign.

Good luck!

2003 hyundai santa alarm goes off by it self. had timing belt replace and left side axle boots.

sounds like the hood alarm switch is out of adustment, its located just inside the right side fender, probably was disurbed when the timing belt was replaced, it must make proper contact with the hood or the alarm will go off, usually in the middle of the night
