Hello! See diagram below of the location of Crankshaft Positioning Sensor (CPS)...It has a 3 wire connector with the following wire colors...Dark Blue/Dark Green (ground)...Dark Blue/White (signal lead)...And Pink/Yellow (+5 volts)...

Looking at the front of the engine...The left bank (front to rear) are 2, 4, 6, 8...
The right bank (front to rear) are 1, 3, 5, 7...Therefore the first cylinder on the right bank is # 1...The rear or last cylinder on the right bank is #7

Tying to find crank sensor for 2002 Cadillac Seville std 4.6 liter

This answer covers 1999-2005 Cadillac Deville, Eldorado & Seville.
Example Engine:
2002 Cadillac Seville STS 4.6L SFI DOHC HO 8cyl.

This engine has (2) Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensors: the Upper sensor is CKP sensor B, and the lower sensor is CKP sensor A (this is included for the OBD-II DTC codes - P0385 references Sensor B = upper CKP sensor, whereas P0335 references the lower CKP sensor (sensor A)).

Both crankshaft position sensors are located in the front of the engine just above the oil filter adapter. To access both CKP sensors, jack up vehicle on the passenger side, remove the oil filter, and the oil filter adapter, including the Engine Oil Pressure (EOP) switch. See illustration.
tying-find-crank-sensor-2002-cadillac-3hcuyyaerdphtgzyedxwn2k0-1-0.jpg
The ARROW points toward Front of Car.
1. Upper Crankshaft Position Sensor (B).
2. Lower Crankshaft Position Sensor (A)
3. Engine Oil Pressure (EOP) switch
4. Engine Oil Level switch
The Oil Filter is the can-type object below the oil filter adapter, which includes the EOP switch. Recommend: remove oil filter with an oil filter socket/strap wrench, since it's close to the oil pan.

Would a bad crank sensor cause car to loose power? I went over a speed bump and car just stopped

Actually, On 2006 vehicles the camshaft position sensor senses the TDC point of the number one cylinder, on its compression stroke. Its signal is relayed to the ECM to be used to determine the sequence of fuel injection. The Crank sensor is used to determine RPM ranges The crankshaft position sensor consists of a magnet and coil. The voltage signal from the sensor is relayed to the ECM to indicate engine rpm and the position of the crankshaft. This sensor wouldn't affect your performance but, the Cam sensor will if its damaged. To answer you question correctly, it would be the cam sensor i would check. it actually controls the injection system. if damaged, it will cause performance issues. On 2006 vehicles the crankshaft position sensor is located next to the radiator hose inlet and outlet assembly. On 2006 vehicles, the camshaft position sensor is located on top of the engine, on the engine head cover.
