Hello Stacy, My name is Mike. I am thrilled that you choose me to help you with your problem. I am sorry, it took me a few hours to get back to you. I have been helping other customers. Here is where I am with this on your cranking and not starting issue. Oh, by the way great job on your part eliminating some of the other potential suspects.

First of all, I try and tackle the easiest things first,to see if we get lucky.

Pull the start/run relay out for a couple minutes, then put it back in and reset it might reset the passlock box and start right up.

Now, why did I say that? I believe your problem is with your Passlock indicator.( which has to do with your anti theft system)The way I just described is a 50/50 chance to have it work, but don't worry. I always have a plan B and C.

Here is some questions to your symptoms: Stay with me now, wait for it.

Perform the re-learning procedure

Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

Attempt to start the engine, then release the key to ON (vehicle will not start).

Observe the SECURITY light, after approximately 11 minutes the light will turn OFF.

Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 10 seconds.

Repeat steps 1 through 4 two more times for a total of 3 cycles/30 minutes ( the vehicle

is now ready to relearn the Sensor Data Code and/or passwords on the next ignition switch transition from OFF

to CRANK).

Important: The vehicle learns the relearns Sensor Data Code and/or password on the next ignition switch

transition from OFF to CRANK. You must turn the ignition OFF before attempting to start the vehicle.

Start the engine (the vehicle has now learned the Sensor Data Code and/or password).

Here is Plan C as promised, but I personally would not suggest, Even though GMC offers a bypass procedure.

Link for a Bypass Solution:

Plan D, would be have to check into possibility of bad ECM, but lets hope that is just a worst case scenario.

Thanks So Much,Mike. Please Keep Me Informed of progress.

My 2007 h3 hummer starts and when i put in gear it dies and the wipers turn on, the wiper wont shut off for several minutes then car restarts after they stop car will restart can take several attempts

Your best bet , take it to a dealer . The wipers are controlled by the BCM - body control module .
The Wiper/Washer System consists of the following components:
• Windshield wiper/washer switch
• Body control module (BCM)
• Wiper micro relay
• Wiper 2 relay
• Wiper diode
• Windshield wiper motor
• Windshield washer pump
• Windshield washer nozzles
• Windshield washer solvent container
• Windshield wiper arm and blade assemblies
• Windshield wiper transmission
• WIP/WASH 10A fuse
• WIPER 25A fuse

Testing for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's should be the first step in diagnostic process . No part store can check code's in BCM.
You have no idea of the complexity of the electronic's on your vehicle.
Moving the ignition switch to the START position signals the body control module (BCM) that engine crank has been requested. The BCM verifies that theft is not active and sends a serial data message to the powertrain control module (PCM) requesting engine start. The BCM also energizes the RUN/CRANK RELAY. When the RUN/CRANK RELAY switch side closes, and the vehicle is in Park/Neutral or with the clutch fully depressed, if equipped, supply voltage is applied to the PCM CNTRL relay coil. The PCM verifies the transmission is in Park/Neutral or if the clutch is fully depressed, if equipped. The PCM will then ground the control circuit of the PCM CNTRL relay, closing the switch suppling voltage to the starter solenoid. On some vehicles the starter will continue to crank the engine with the key released until it starts, the crank command has timed out to prevent excessive heat build up in the starter circuitry or the PCM receives an engine run flag.

My 2003 h2 shut off while driving and will not crank.

The first thing should be to have it check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes . Could have ignition switch problem , a shorted sensor bring down the class 2 data serial data network , the control modules all communicate on this data network . The starting system on this vehicle is controlled by the PCM - engine computer ! When you turn the key to start a voltage signal is sent to the PCM , if the PCM sees a voltage signal from the transmission range sensor and thier is no anti-theft system problems the PCM will energize the starter relay .
012 GM Class II Communications
There is also a direct redundant class 2 serial data circuit between BCM and PCM.
The following modules communicate on the class 2 serial data circuit:
• splice pack - SP205 attaches to:
• Air Suspension Module (ESC)
• BCM
• DDM
• EBCM
• FPDM
• HVAC Control Module
• IPC
• PCM
• Radio
• TCSCM
• splice pack - SP206 attaches to:
• Audio Amplifier
• RSA Control
• VCIM
• splice pack - SP207 attaches to MSM-Driver and SDM
Hooking up a scan tool an checking scan data would be a first step . Testing electrical connections , B+ voltage at the fuse boxes ,main power feeds etc. Looking at wiring diagrams an power distribution diagrams . Using a voltmeter to test with.
Electric Testing Techniques You Need to Know
Free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine ! Under system click power distribution then under subsystem click on power distribution . Click the search button then the blue link. Look at the power flow path an test with volt meter . Could be something simple but then again ! The complexity of the modern vehicle is well above most peoples scope .

I only have 5 volts at the fuel pump on my 2003 h2 hummer

You may have damaged the wiring to the fuel pump speed control module or the module is defective, have the local GM dealer test the system performance to confirm this.

My hummer has hard start when it's turned off for ashort period,

A scan tool should be able to read the temp pids at operating temperature to see if they are "off" enough to cause problems . Check for fuel lines to close to heat sources as boiling of the fuel causing vapor lock may be happening after heat soaking .
