Not getting past 45mph, is almost a damaged exhaust converter,
that has broken down inside & is clogged

That should not happen in ten years,so you have had misfires
or rich fuel conditions over the years, that ruined it

Next would be a totally bocked gas filter
Not as likely, if it were changed ever 3 to 5 years, it should be okey

The transmissiom issues I will only say due to having once owned
a trans shop & the 10 years on the car.
Your are most likely only going to fix that, by pulling it out & rebuilding it

Why?

Because no one ever changes trans & include power steering fluid,
every 3 years & not over 30,000 miles

Not changing trans fluid is a death sentence

2006 Ford F-150. Is reverse separate from all other gears on a 06 F-150

Question edited for clarity, maker name and first in question.
Question moved to sub category.

Much depends on whether it is a manual or automatic, but in general, yes, reverse is a single speed, slow speed, high torque drive in a rearward direction.

Reverse gear issues in the link.

Losing power going up hills

sounds pretty normal. what speed do you try out the passing gear? anything above 35-45 mph and it will feel like neutral. Passing gear is actually only 1st gear. When you press down the pedal, it forces the transmisson to shift into low gear.

Heter blower is 50 - 50 to work or not from start up. 'if' it comes on it works for minutes, it will slow down as engine speed increases, back to full when clutch dipped to change gear, then slows down...

Items to check with blower motor:
First there is NO correlation to engine speed and blower motor.
Blower motor may be dying, Blower resistors are defective, on/off switch.
If there is no voltage to the reverse switch, then you have to back probe that wire and see where the open is.
The answer to your question yes there is a common connection. Probably at the fuse box. Like I said earlier you have to back probe wire to reverse switch and find out where it is open. Good luck

Engine hesitates or cuts out with a forward load but not ireverse

Check fuel pressure at idle it should read 30psi. If you have a weak fuel pump it will act just like you describe. Located intake and replace the fuel filter.
