My 1996 Buck LeSabre won't turn over. I took the starter off and had it checked, it was fine. I checked the starter fuses and all was fine. \ Cabling was fine to the starter, voltage was 12.54 Volts. tried to crank in Park and Neutral to check Neutral switch, still won't crank. Can't locate the starter relay. Any ideas????

Check fuse,relay,battery connection.

Check your battery connections at the starter. It may not be getting the needed volts. Just make sure they're clean and tight at the starter and the battery both. Good luck!

Sounds like a faulty starter solenoid.

Your ignition switch may be defective. try to borrow a remote starter to see if it will crank without using your ignition switch

The "click" sound condition make us guess that could be a bad ignition switch or starter.

It turned out to be the starter. I first took the battery to have it tested and it was fine. Next, I took the starter apart and took it to Autozone to have it tested? and it was bad. It is not easy access to remove the starter. The intake manifold and exhaust system are in the way and need to be taken apart first. See instructions below:

If the engine won't fire up, but your starter turns over, you may want to check your timing unless you have a check engine light on. If the CEL light is on, have the codes scanned.

If the engine won't turn over with the starter or it clicks, have your battery tested at autozone or advanced auto parts. Replace the battery if it is bad. Else, have your starter tested.

If the engine still won't turn over and the battery and starter are tested fine, you may have a blown fuse, bad ignition switch, or a failed relay.

If the engine fires up but randomly dies and starts back up, you either have a failed sensor, failing fuel pump, clogged fuel filter, bad plugs or wires, or a failing ECU.

Replace fuel filter then check pressure , You may need a new fuel pump
