Your pressure sending switch could be going bad id try replacing that first its easier and cheaper. make sure the oil level is not too high also.if all is good then the switch can be bad or the gauge itself.

Your ecu is in need of repair. Your jeep has what is known as the "delayed check engine light problem". Time has taken it's toll on some of your ecu's internal components, the ones that supply power the fuel and ignition circuit relays. The ecu is slow to supply power to the circuits in the morning, causing the delay. Your jeep may also have a bad crank sensor, which would cause the sudden shutdown while driving. Your ecu can be repaired or replaced, your choice. Both options are available on ebay.

I have a 2008 jeep wrangler jk that burns oil. what is causing this

Most times that's caused by excessive wear of the piston rings or cylinder bores, valve guides & stem seals or even worn crank bearings. It's unusual to find one that young that has that kind of problem, but it can happen. I'd also check to make sure the engine venting isn't plugged up or it could be building excessive crank case pressure and pushing oil past the rings. No one can give you a definitive solution though without the benefit of some hands-on testing. I'd begin by checking venting and then do a compression test, after that, most everything else involves teardown and measuring.

Oil pressure will drop to nothing. can turn off and crank back up and have good pressure

I would suggest getting an oil pressure test done before anything you don't want to be driving and actually have no oil pressure, but I have seen time and time again faulty oil pressure sensors ( oil sending units) faulty on jeeps.

What would cause my 1997 jeep wranglers 4.0Lto kick in the automatic shutdown relay and shut down the fuel pump, spark and fuel injectors

i would try replacing the crank sensor, its mounted behind the head of the engine on top of the trans bell housing, the connector for the sensor runs over to the passenger side of the engine near the fire wall, just follow the harness to the sensor, not bad to replace, and if its not your problem you can always return it,i have seen alot of these go bad, another way of telling is to crank it over and see if the check engine light goes off,if it doesnt the computer isnt seeing a crank reference, crank it for about 10 seconds, hope this helps

2002 2.5l no oil pressure on gauge. Runs fine...no

You better put a manual gauge on your engine and make sure you have oil pressure. Could just be a faulty gauge or sending unit but I sure as heck would be checking it with a manual gauge.

1998 jeep wrangler starting problems

There are several things you can do if you haven't done so already, Check voltage at ignition coil, as soon as the engine starts to turn over there should be voltage. If not, the crank sensor is not triggering the ECM quickly.... on 98-99 wranglers, this was a problem area. Check terminal connectors at the ECM, clean and secure, another area of concern. The module on the side of the throttle body is the air idle control 'motor' as jeep calls it. Over time they tend to carbon up and it results in bad air/fuel mixture and yet fails to send a fault code, you can remove & clean also the O2 sensor in front of the cat. convertor.remove & clean. Check fuel pressure, you should have some residual PSI. Treat fuel system with a good treatment...I like the Lucas products, their fuel system treatment and injector cleaner burns hot & clean.
I hope these suggestions help...and the wrangler returns to top form...good luck.
