Engine Mounts I have a 03 Ford Focus LX and from the inside of the car, as you accelarate you hear this constant/ vibrating constant noise which is preety noticible, I checked the car, and noticed that one engine mount had all of the rubber bushing worn out, my question is would one engine mount cuase that much noise of would it have to take more than one, this particular engine mount is located on the botton of the engine, right after where the transmission and the engine meet on this manual 2.3 liter Duratec engine.

I have a 2003 Focus that had exactly the same issues.....the noise was worse when turning right and at slow speed. I took mine down to the local dealer who charged me $80 just to look at the car....they told me that it was a broken mount and charged me another $300 for the part plus and extra $100 in labor to replace it....I found out afterwards that I could have bought an aftermarket part for less than $50. Thank you Ford.

I have a constant vibration noise in my 2003 Focus. It actually shakes the windshield. At idle it is not evident but as you increase the engine speed the noise will start. While driving the noise follows the same routine. It gets especially loud when you push the overdrive button off and slow down.At times after the engine warms up the vibration will deminish. I removed the belt on front of the engine and the noise still presisted with the engine running. About 8 months ago I had the front mount (passenger side) replaced.I'v inspected the exhaust, its OK, Replaced the intake filter and hose.On a rack everything looks good from underneath. This vibration and noise started about a month ago. The vehicle runs great; no transmission slipping etc.One thing I did notice just recently was when I I drove over a slight bump in the road the noise stopped for just a second.

Yes, a bad engine mount can cause that much noise.

Cabin noise while car is moving

have the engine mounts checked as they may have failed and the rubber is no longer insulating the engine and transmission from the cabin.

My Toyota Corolla Air Intake Vibrates when I accelarate

do you feel it or hear it, or both.?
btw all 4cylinders engines, the air does vibrate, and is reduced with those funny looking air chambers on this sides, called resonators.
if you removed these parts doing CAI mods. then now you must live with the noise.

if it only vibrates the main induction tube and all parts are stock
then the mounts for the tube are broken or just loose.
very common on older cars....

stock means (as it left the factory for USA)

Loud roaring noise and vibration, gets louder as i press the gas, same in park, and also while starting the car it now seems like it hesitates to crank at first then is fine.

Not sure of starting problem, but you may have bad engine mounts causing the vibration/roaring noise. hav ethe engine mounts check. These vehicles have a history of bad mounts especially after 100K miles or more.

Big vibrations after having cam belt replaces. Told its the engine mount by our mechanic. Ford say the engine mounts are okay, and to take it back to our mechanic. Our mechanic was told the engine mounts...

What year car?? What engine??? What do you mean import,,its a ford focus ??Did the vibration come right after the timing belt was installed..??The major problem with the focus engine mounts was the one under the battery..And the one right above the timing belt..If it was fine until the belt was changed,,then he probably didnt install the mount right or left something off..You have to remove the mount to do a timing belt,,so i would go back to the mechanic..The mounts can look fine ,,but still be worn or not properly installed

Clutch vibrating

Two reasons for this. Rattling is usually faulty pressure plate which means clutch overhaul. Depending on which Focus some have a rubber mounted flywheel which dies and must be replaced. Either way its gearbox out and check. First check all gearbox and engine mounts, but it sounds more serious.
