On a hyundai tiburon how do i know if the oil pressure is bad

If you have low oil pressure you should have a waring light or message, the engine will become noisy and if it is not repaired very soon you will here first a loud tapping noise then a loud knocking deep in the engine, and finally the engine will worst case blow up and parts may come out the bottom through the oil pan. Never drive any car that shows a low oil pressure warning light or message, stop the engine right away and have it checked by a shop.

How do i change the oil in my 2001 hyundai tiburon Se

Hello,
Well your car will use a 5W30 oil. Then to change it you need to -
  1. First thing is to make sure the dipstick that checks the oil level pulls up.
  2. Make sure to have a 5 quarts drain pan to safety store used oil for disposal.
  3. Set the drain pan under the oil plug and then scoot it out about 6 inches so when the oil comes flying out the drain pan catches it.
  4. When all the oil has completely drained then make sure the gasket is on the oil plug.
  5. Now wipe the tip of the oil plug off (some oil plugs pick up metal shavings and you don't want to put that back into the engine.
  6. Put the plug back into the oil pan and snug it up.
  • Now for the oil filter
  1. Move the drain pan back to the oil filter. (will be on the backside of the pan)
  2. With a strap wrench loosen the oil filter just a few turn. Just enough for the oil to begin to drain from it.
  3. Now remove the oil filter completely.
  4. Check on the oil filter housing to make sure the gasket from the oil filter did not stick.
  5. Now take the new oil filter and inspect it for dent or holes and also make sure the new gasket is on it and not torn or severely cracked.
  6. Take a few drops of oil and rub it onto the new filters gasket to help that gasket seal.
  7. Now screw the new filter on the oil filter housing.
  8. Clean off and old excess oil in the area with a shop rag.
  9. Now add the required amount or oil (4.5 quarts)
  10. Start the car and right away get out and look underneath the car for leaks.
  11. If no leaks turn the car off and check the oil level to insure a proper fill.
  12. Job finished
Regards, Tony

I have a 2003 Tiburon Se what kind of oil do i need

Most autos made in the last 10 years or so use 5W-30 motor oil. Check your owners manual. Also, it usually is on the oil filler cap on the engine.

Hi i have a 2003 hyundai tibron it over heated and i fix the leak. And it was running good then i put some stop leak in it then it ran ok tell the next day then it started missing bad the drive side tail...

It sounds like the head gasket is blown or the head cracked. These cars are known for the damage to the engine from overheating. Check the oil dipstick and see if it looks milky. If so then there is water in the oil and the gasket or the head is shot. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Hope this helps. Good luck.

2003 Hyundai Tiburon Se overheating!

if there's water coming out of the exhaust pipe its a head gasket but it could be a bad thermostat and when your car gets to a certain temperature the fan will come on and cool it off
