How do you change the wires in back? We own a '95 Gand AM v6 changed the front wires & plugs but can get to the back..please help

if it is a vortec motor the wire numbers are on the cap 3 on one sid 4 on the other one of them being the coil wire

#3 is third from front on pass side either motor

Spark Plug is not what causes a misfire, if you have PO303
Bad COP Coil & maybe not the same cyl as the code

There is a tool you can get on the internet or from
a tool supplier, to replace the front engine strut/
support, whatever it's called,you can look that up,&
it pulls the engine to the front,so you can sort of
get to the back plugs

STANDING IN FRONT OF VAN FRONT CYLINDERS FACING YOU LEFT TO RIGHT IS 4 5 6 BACK CYLINDERS LEFT TO RIGHT IS 1 2 3 GET A PIECE OF PAPER WRITE NUMBER 51 THEN WRITE NUMBER 62 UNDER 51 THEN WRITE NUMBER 43 UNDER 62 THATS YOUR COIL PACK WIRES LOCATION MATCH THEM WITH THE CYLINDER SPARK PLUGS YOU HOME FREE.

301 & 306 are cylinder #1 and #6 misfire. Your spark plug wires are not in the proper firing order in relation to the correct cylinder and distributor locations.

For the 4.0L V6:

i have a 01 optima v6 and yes i had to take off the back intake manifold and replace the gasket to change the plugs . the front cover comes off to change the other 3 plugs.

I posted this solution for this same engine on the 2001 Kia Optima. It is Exactly the same 2.5 V6, and the instructions are exactly the same. I recommend replacing the plug wires. Please see 2001 kia Optima for the rest. Good luck, it's fairly easy.
