For 2.0Land 2.4L engines / Firing order: 1-3-4-2 Fig. 11 / Distrubutor rotation: Clockwise / Fig. 11 shows 4-2 on top and 3-1 below them / sparkplugs are arranged as follows from firewall to front of engine (e.i. left to right) 1-2-3-4 / (e.i. 4-2

Could you please tell me the firing order for a mitsubishi pajero 3ltr v6

There are 2 3.0L engines used in 1989. One has a flat distributor cap with the plug towers coming out sideways and the other has a conventional cap with the plug towers protruding vertically. Both have a firing order of 1-2-3-4-5-6 (Gee, that's hard one to remember!... LOL ;) ) The ditributor cap should have the cylinder numbers cast into it at each plug tower - most Mitsubishi caps do. The cylinders are numbered 1-3-5 on the right bank and 2-4-6 on the left bank.

it is fuel injected and the injectors are in a manifold at the inlet manifold
most misfires are injector related ( dirty tips , low fuel pressure or injector wiring harness) get a workshop manual from an auto parts shop

I do not know if you have the 2.4L or 3.0L.
However I have included both below, although I think you should have the 3.0L
