No. On yours you should be able to reset by removing the positive cable from the battery for 30 minutes.

Unless your owner's manual says that, then no. You can call your local auto mechanics shop and they will tell you over the phone how to reset the computer.

Reset the check engine light to pass inspection

You may be able to disconnect the battery for a couple of hours to clear the trouble codes, but the correct method is to use a scanner or code reader. The light will stay on as long as trouble codes are stored in the computer.

Misfire in 97 voyager,P0300 and P0304,HELP! Need 2 get inspection

I'd have fuel pressure checked, and at the very least, replace fuel filter. Not unusual to get multiple misfire codes due to low fuel pressure, thus starving cylinder(s), and causing the misfire code(s).

Service egine light keeps coming on after we reset

Something is not fixed. Though you say you fixed them or had them fixed doesnt mean it is all good. Sometimes defective parts. Unhook the battery for a few min. Then reconnect it. The drive about 30 nonstop miles. The computer will be clear then the problem codes will be stored and the light will come back on. Then re read it

What is the specific drive-time to reset the computer on my 97 Ford Aspire? I disconnected (and reconnected) the battery and now it won't pass inspection because the computer hasn't reset.

what were the codes? It may never reset until u fix it. Most codes aren't intermitten. Not more than 80 miles if doesn't reset then you need to fix problem.

Drive time computer reset

Drive cycle has to do with normal everyday type of driving. So many stops, so many miles, fast driving, slow driving. My car went thru a drive cycle in about 38 miles on my way to work. My daughters took 3 days and about 78 miles. So just drive it like normal.

1997 Toyota Camry engine problem, what could it be?

Could be MAJOR.

The clunking as you describe it could be you lost a main bearing or rod bearing.

Either way ya look at it, with that many miles and a "clunk"...its going to cost a good bit to get it fixed, or replace the motor.

Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/sean_54c3a3dc48a7773c
