I drive a 2004 Saturn Vue. started with a sound like I hit loose asphalt on the street but there was no road repairs going on. Then the battery light came on about 4 miles later. Then the seat belt light a few minutes later followed by the repair engine light. I went to turn right and it made a horrible noise and was hard to turn (like something was blocking the wheel). I tried to turn it to the left and the same thing. I pulled into a parking spot. But the ebrake on (it is a manual transmission). The car died. I have battery power but it wont turn over.

There is a bearing that supports the dive shaft to the rear wheels. This bearing dries out with road grime and under car washes. Greasing the bearing eliminated the whistling

1. Apply and fully release the park brake several times. Verify that the park brake lever releases completely.
2. Turn ON the ignition. Verify the red BRAKE warning lamp is not illuminated.
3. If the red BRAKE warning lamp is illuminated, verify the following:

• The park brake lever is in the fully released position and against the stop.
• There is no slack in the park brake cable.

1. Turn OFF the ignition.
2. Disable the SIR system.
3. Remove the front floor console.
4. With the park brake lever in the released position, using ONLY hand tools, loosen the adjusting nut completely to the end of the front cable threaded rod.
5. Raise and support the vehicle.
6. Remove the rear tire and wheel assemblies.
7. Adjust the rear drum brakes.
8. Ensure there is no brake shoe drag after adjustment by rotating the brake drums. If drag exists, re-center the brake shoes and perform the brake shoe adjustment again.
9. Install 2 wheel nuts to the wheel studs and firmly hand tighten in order to retain the brake drums.
10. Lower the vehicle to permit access to the park brake lever.
11. Raise the park brake lever 1 detent position. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

lift headrest to maximum and depress plastic sleeve button where the headrest shat come out off

two things it might be 1? crank shaft sensor or 2? camshaft sensor

They have a problem with the seatbelt retractor getting jammed up causing the belt to jam & not let the rear seat fold back up.The easiest way to get the seat back up is to cut the seatbelt & fold up the seat.Then the rear seat needs to be disassembled to gain access to the seatbelt retractor assy which has the seat belt made on.Hopefully it's still under warranty or Ext. warranty.hope this helps
