2001 Volvo s80 /sunroof not working. Have no schematic or wiring diagram! Have found module that powers motor. Hot wired motor, by bypassing control module and switch. Worked fine back and forward. The fuse for module 15amp. #34 checked fine.Is there a Volvo tech or anyone that has more troubleshooting info,like hidden relay's.No 12v power out of module to sunroof motor? What about saturn vue sunroof wiring ? U want a wiring diagram ? Not working at all ?
The power sunroof system consists of the following components:
• Sunroof module
• Sunroof motor with limit switch
• Sunroof switch
• Sunroof glass, tilt/slide type, with glass sliding between roof and headliner
• Sunshade
• Rail and track assembly upon which the sunroof glass rides
• Sunroof system fuse: sunroof 20 A fuse
• Ground G401

Check the fuse. If that is good then try listening for the motor trying to operate. If you can hear the motor trying to operate then you must have a stuck sunroof.

The alarm siren has failed. The alarm siren and sunroof module are on the same communication circuit. If you remove the right front wheel fender liner you can unplug the siren module and see if the sunroof begins working normally.

If it does, replace the siren.

There were quite a few of the earlier s80s that had the power wire trapped under the bolts for the survivors and/or dome lamp assy. If you've had anything out interior wise start there first.

I would purchase a shop manual with wiring diagram as the wiring was hot wired for a reason. Usually it meand something failed and was bypassed. You will need a diagram to sort it out.

i think it might be the open and close buttom has something wrong or the motor of the sunroof it is better that it is seen by a specialist

no the sunroof has it own module it is part of the motor

check the fuse,power might have lose wiring take it to a local volvo service center
