Hello.I have a volvo bl71. He has an electrical problem. On the one hand there is no electricity in the starter and after a few days there is no electricity in the electric oil extinguisher. Neither current nor body. After the ignition switch I bypass cables. Now it has become the start switch and the electric switcher does not work and works with bypass.

You will need to try to turn the engine manually to make sure its not frooze. if it turns then you might need to check the starter again.

Vehicle won't start when hot

A common problem that's surfaced a great deal lately is a car/truck that starts fine when the engine is cold but won't when the engine is warm. Most of the time, the car will require a jump start with a warm engine to get it to start. Most mistakenly assume a bad battery and change it out, only to have the same problem. What happens is most starters don't just "quit" when they are defective. A bad starter will usually start your vehicle when it's absolutely cold. Once warm, the starter will behave as follows:

No power

Click then nothing

All other electrical is fine (headlights, stereo, alarm etc)

If your car or truck won't start when the engine is warm, but starts fine when it's cold, you most likely have a bad starter. Although replacing the battery is less expensive, it rarely (if ever) will resolve this issue. Consider the age of the car / starter when these symptoms occur. If you have an older vehicle (older than 5 years) then replacing the starter is a good place to start prior to buying other electrical components (battery, alternator).

Always bring the vehicle to a shop that offers a free electrical diagnostic test to confirm the electrical system is sound to rule out an electrical problem first. If the electrical system is sound, I'd go ahead and replace the starter.
Although this tip will show under the Lincoln category, it applies to all makes and models.
My volvo 960 1997 wagon at times won't start. when I try to start it, it's like the battery is completely dead, but the battery is fine. what is making it do this ?

Depends on your definition of completely dead.
Do the lights work, but no crank ?
Can you jump start the car ?
A mechanic would check for voltage at the battery, the starter, the neutral safety switch, and the key switch, along with the ground connections to the engine.

My volvo s60 wont turn over but theres power in the battrie

Anything less than 12.6 volts, at the battery---is a battery that needs to be charged

Not going above 12.4 when the engine is running ---would indicate
your alternator isn't working,is that what you were told

Intermittent problem starting 2002 volvo s60.

the symtoms you describe sounds like a battery fault. but if you have had the battery properley tested and is good then you either have something discharging the battery intermittantly ie. trunk light staying on or a high resistance in the main battery leads or earth connections

Trying to fix my Volvo S60 2002 model. It won't start but when I hook the jumper cables to the my battery i have all interior power. when i try to turn over the engine nothing happens except clicking....

Make sure you have a fully charged battery...clean the terminals real well.
Alternator only charges the battery when the correct engine rpm is attained.
A clicking noise could be the starter solenoid which is basically a relay / contactor but can block power from reaching the starter.
Worn brushes in the starter can also zap a battery's power.

Battery, starter and aloternator can be tested at most part stores.

From what you describe, I'd clean battery terminals and ensure battery is fully charged.
If clicking still happens, I'd move to the solenoid and starter.

Hope this helps...
