Shuts off in the middle of driving & now eng. wont turn over

I have a 2000 Daewoo Lanos that ive neve rhad any problems with at all till about 3 days ago. I was drving the car in the street and and engine just shut off but the car kept the all power (cd player, a/c, pw windows, alarm, etc.) I was able to get the car going again by pushing the gas pedall and by turning the key a few times. Yesterday the car did the same exact thing but this time it ownt start back up at all. No check engine or battery or oil lights come on theres no knocking of the eninge the car has has a recent oil change all filters are clean about 4 months ago the car had a tune up and had the trans. serviced. I cant figure out whats going on its almost as if the car has no gas but yet its close to a full tank since i jusrt filled it up on the 30th of this month. Can anyone help me out??

car runs fine, sometimes after being on for 30 mins or so, just stops. Power stays on, sound like 1 cylinder only tries to run, then stops. New leads, spark plugs, air/oil filter, ignition coil, tuned, de-greased etc.

From what ive read a wiring harness beneath the carpet could be damaged by passenger traffic affecting engine drivability and the engine could stall. id check that out and replace as necessary....let me know what happens

Idle solenoid(iac = Idle Air Control) is closing (engine off) ... check VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) in Panel , it is driven by odometer cable Assembly(Check) from transaxle thru firewall ... so sensor & or driving may be damaged.... please check

Power loss and shuddering on Daewoo Lanos 2000 in hot weather

sounds like you have a over heating issue most cars no a days will kill power and shake like this.the computer is like a back up safety tokeep you from destroying the engine.because when you let it set for about 30 minutes or so you can resume driving normal till the temp gets in the red I assume then it will start shaking and big loss of power.have you cooling system checked out to make sure.hope this helps you out.

Daewoo lanos cuts out while driving wont start only after some few minutes

Check your fuses for fuel pump and then your fuel filter and air filter. If these don't work you may have a problem with the Choke staying on. Good luck I hope this helps.

Daewoo Lanos 2000 splutters and cuts out , heavy on petrol

Ive got the same car, here is two problems ive found that made it run rough 1. The ignition leads are a bad design and the metal clip that plugs into the end of the plug is very tight and quite often people just reef on the lead or rubber insulation on end of lead causing the lead to break off the end of metal clip on the end of it. Ive done it twice myself till i worked out that you need to grip onto the rubber insulation (the big rubber bit on end of lead) about half way along it with multi grips or something similar so you are actually pulling on the metal bit just above the plug and gently wriggle it off. My sister has same car too and all the leads were broken like this it was still running but like ****,new set of leads fixed it. 2. I had run my lanos very low on fuel a fair few times and it started to splutter and stall and was under powered for about a week so i changed the fuel filter ($15 AUS) and good as new. Hope this helps>

Ive got a Daewoo lanos 2000 model that was working great till it got parked in a garage for 8 months. oil and fuel has been replaced, spark plugs and battery all good. wont run. the most success we've had...

Change all the filters and sitting that long, I would check al the sensors. Take off the connections and spray them with WD 40. Check the feul line and the injectors. If it has a carburator, open the top of the carburator and clean out the jets. Make sure the float level is right. Good luck.

Where is the MAP sensor on a daewoo lanos?

MAP sensor is usually screwed onto the firewall in the back of the engine compartment near the middle. It has a small vacuum hose coming out and going to the engine intake manifold. It also has a 3 wire electrical connector on it. Please let me know if you can't find it or if you have more questions. The part looks like this:
