While driving my grand am stalls out on me at random, this problem has become so frequent that it stalls atleast once every time i drive it. the car only has about 92000 miles on it and my shop could not find any problems with it. my "trac off" "service engine soon" "check engine" and "abs" light are all on. The car starts right back up after i pull over and put it in park. can somebody help?

The Trac off and abs lights being on together are a related problem. With your check engine light on shop should be able to tell what is wrong. Go to AutoZone or similar and have them scanned the computer for codes then get a new shop

SOURCE: pontiac 2002 se: veh soon light, trac light, abs light comes on

I have this same problem and had it checked. It is the wheel sensor. Mine is the passenger front right wheel sensor. According to the mechanic I take it to the GrandAm's are known for this. The part is about $40.

SOURCE: Warning lights

I had that problem.. fixed it and how its on again. Its that new. one of your HUB's are messed up, thwe ABS sensor for thos eare fully integreated. and its about 500 bucks to replace... Or you could drive without ABS or TRAC. and have no problems about getting into an accident because of those ******** features.. I hate them myself.

SOURCE: 1999 Alero stalling and trac off light coming on

does the rpm motor kick down? you may need to check your vacuum hoses, and also you may want to check your exaust, sounds wierd but that can cause the car to stall at times.as for the traction light, your hitting the brakes to hard. try slowing down a little slower while stopping, and keep distance for saftey.. if you can take it a little slower at lights and turns, without braking hard and it stops stalling.

Sounds like you have a bad wheel speed sensor. You need to have it scanned. Since it's been sitting, it might just be a bad connection to one of the speed sensors.

SOURCE: Lights that wont go away: Trac Off, ABS, Oil Change, Service Vehicle soon

I have this same problem with my 2000 Grand Am and the mechanic that I had taken it to had told me it was from a bad ABS sensor in a wheel hub, in order to fix that I would need to purchase a new hub. He said that triggered the service vehicle soon light and had caused the ABS light to come on as well. Although I have not fixed it yet, I trust that this is the problem.

Windstar 3.0 2000 stalls randomly when starting engine and randomly hesitates and dies when driving. I can drive several miles without symptoms and suddenly it dies or missfires. Any clues?

My first question is - is the check engine light on? If it is you should have trouble codes stored in the computer that would help direct you to what you should test.
If not, it may be tough to figure out until the problem is constant. Most anything electrical can cause the symptom you describe. Heat, moisture, and fatigue can play a role in the problem.

1988 Mercedes Benz 300E 3.0L Gasoline F.I. ''Sputtering at Idle

ok..you must have more than one car???? you don't drive the 300 atall im guessing. #1 start car drive up the road and \back to your house. #2 let it idle till problem starts. #3 once it does start with the problem keep it alive with the gas pedal. #4 once your have it safely from dying in higher rpms "rev it" like a kid would, you know like if you were gonna race some one lol. be careful not to over rev or damage engine. you should do this for five minutes no longer than that. #5 let it idle for another 5 minutes. #6 repeat every day until problem with idling decipates. it took mine 3 300e like 3 days of this. if your not going to drive the car once you get the problem out of the way. turn the car on everyday and let it idle for 5 minutes atleast and take it for a short drive once a week. they get lonelly you know lol. later on you can just turn the car on every 2 -3 days and let it idle but still take it on a short drive atleast once a week
