Rear end axle removal for a 2000 chevy truck 1500

You must remove the rear cover on the differential and then the spider gears, then the center pin bolt and the pin then push in on the axle and remove C clip retainer inside the gear carrier and slide axle out.

Replaced rear brakes for disk breaks on 2006 chevy 1500 lights comes on abs

check to see that the sensor wires that sense axle rotation are connected. Some are near the caliphers abd read the rotor rotation and in my car with rear drum brakes it is in the axle housing next to the axle bearing. Check that the sensor is compatable for the new application

I have a 2003 half a ton chevy silverado that the driver side rear axle is leaking. I need to know how to adjust the shims on the ring in pinion ?

well if the axle is leaking you dont need to adjust the shims, it needs a new seal. pull the brakes off open the rear diff there will be a c lip holding the axle in, remove the c lip pull the axle repalce the seal on the end of the axle tube, put it all back together and you done

Rear end wine - 2000 Chevy K1500. Sounds like the axle bearing but not 100% sure. Never replaced bearings in the rear before - not sure what I might be getting in for.

First check level of oil in rear end housing, if low, pull drums & see if any axle seals are leaking.

Rear end clunk in Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup

The noise is caused by the axle button being worn out, this lets the axle move back and forth and clunk, this is a unique problem with C clip retained axles, it is a noise issue but will not fail and cause any more damage, in order to fix it you must have the axles pulled and the diff carrier checked for excess wear where the axle retainning C clip rides, if the carrier is ok then replace the axles.
