On a Suzuki , Your vehicle is equipped with Speed Sensitive Power Steering (SSPS).
This is a computer-controlled power steering assist system.
The warning light you are describing will come on briefly when you turn the ignition to ON as a check to show you the bulb is working.
Then it should go out after a few seconds. If the warning light does not come on, have it fixed so it will be able to warn you if there is a problem.
If the warning light stays on, or comes on while you are driving, the SSPS system may not be working.
Your computer will need to be scanned to determine what the problem is with your SSPS system.

While driving the vehicle 35-60 miles per hour slips into neutral but it still shows that it in in drive. This occurred 15 times now on the freeway. What is going on?

Check to see if the check engine light is on and there is a slash mark across the "D" on the dashboard. If so, then it usually means the transmission range selector is bad and needs to be replaced.
