1995 K2500 454 rough start up and very low power when accelerating . Runs fine when barely feathering the throttle but if you need the power for any reason its just not there. Floor it and it will hesitate, and then slowly, very slowly begin to accelerate. Plus when in park, and trying to rev the engine it will miss like its trying to govern itself out.

Sounds like emissions component problem. The cat converter may be plugged.

SOURCE: Rough idle, Car shakes, sputters and misfires upon acceleration

It sounds like you may have a problem feeding the fuel to your engine, I had the same problem with my 89 RS. All the 1989 model's fuel systems were recalled. I think you may need a new fuel pump. The fuel pump is located inside the gas tank in the rear of the car right under the rear axle. The fuel pump itself isn't too expensive, but with other small parts such as the electrical harness upgrade and fuel filter and the labor you should be looking somewhere in the $500 range. I hope this helps.

SOURCE: engine wont go over 3000 rpm while driving

Is the check engine light on? If so check what codes are stored. It sounds like the m a p sensor.
Good luck dont forget to rate.

1998 chevy k1500 runs rough no power untill it warms up

This could be due to any or all of the three sensors going bad: oxygen sensor, throttle position sensor or the MAF sensor. Connect the diagnostic tool if the check engine light is ON to find out the codes, as this would narrow down your problem.

Sometime car barely starts runs rough till rpm's build up

Check everywhere for air leaks. If it has a carburettor start the car and spray butane gas around it, if the revs increase then you have a leak somewhere as it is sucking in this extra fuel.

When putting van in gear the engine runs rough

how about putting the van in drive with one foot down hard on the brake and rev the engine, does it smooth out now? if it smooths out, i would pull the air cleaner tube to the throttle body and spray the throttle body with carb cleaner, be careful if using the red tube, I have had it blow off before into the intake, not good, open the accelerator and spray it out really good, it will to start until all the cleaner clears out.

Engine runs rough after about ten minutes /idles really low

Just trowing some suggestions out there, but, I would check the idle air control valve (solenoid) or the throttle position sensor. If they check out then my last guess would be the map sensor or the vaccuum to the map sensor. Hope I was able to help. Best wishes.
