Fuel problem or spark problem neither is associated with a change in sparkplug unless you had a sever misfire that you let go for a long time to cause thhe igition module to fail.and this include the crank sensor that is underneath the ignition module. cycle the key you should hear a humm at the fuel tank and that is the fuel pump working if you hear the fuel pump then more than likely you will need to correct for spark ignition module and crank sensor

Truck stalled wouldn't start.

I can understand you being frustrated.
There really is no way to tell if the fuel pump was the problem at this point.
If the security system fails, you should see "security" light up on the cluster.
The key lock has a sensor that reads the chip in the key. If the sensor fails or the chip fails the computer won't let the vehicle start.
Most of the time when the security system is at fault, the vehicle won't start, but it won't cause the engine to stall.
You might want to have someone check the fuel pressure and spark at the plugs if you don't see the security light on the cluster.
Could be the fuel pump relay and a list of other things.
I would probably check the computer for trouble codes too.

1999 chevy k2500. changed spark plugs 4 times in 7 months. Runs good for a week then doesn't start. Changed spider, throttle body sensor. Still has no codes and once again won't start.

The next time it won't start ,pull a sparkplug wire and see if you're getting fire. Then we'll known whether its a ignition or fuel problem and go from there.

1997 mazda 626 won't start.

Are the plugs wet with fuel?
Check for spark. No spark? it may be the ignition module.

Plugs dry and spark present? No fuel?Spray a little starting fluid and see if it will run on that.
Then check pump fuses and for fuel pump noise.

Chevrolet Tacuma Won't Start

Hi Paul brad hear, if you have spark plugs working i.e. sparking and fuel coming into the engine something has got to happen, many not start but it would backfire cough because when those two things come together something always happens. OK The other thing that would keep it from starting, the timing change or gear has broken and the cam is not turning. Im not sure if the Tacoma has a chance or gears. good luck

My 1999 Buick Park Ave started hesitating and the CEL would flash. I would back off the accelerator and it would smooth out and the light would go off. About a month ago the car died while I was driving it...

Have you tried the reset method? Turn key to the ON position and leave it there for 10 minutes, or until the security light goes off. Then turn key to off, and back to on and start-see if it starts after letting it sit for a few minutes like that with the key in the on position.
