My doors on my 2005 Jaguar S-Type will not lock period. When i press the buttom on my key it sounds like its locking it,but they just stay unlocked. Why is this?

I expect the master lock that sends the signal to the other locks is malfunctioning, the master lock is usually in the drivers door, can the doors be locked from the switch inside the vehicle, or does the same thing happen ?

2004 Jaguar S type remote control will not unlock doors. I have to manually open, thus setting off the alarm (which is very annoying). The remote will lock the doors, and then unlock if locking operation...

had a similar problem with a hyundai coupe , this turned out to to be the door lock mechanism in the drivers door, so could be the place to start, as i would have thought that generally the power locking technology is the same universally

Where's the door locks on the inside of my 2005 Jaguar S Type?

If you press the unlock button on the key fob twice when you first unlock the car this unlocks all the doors and the boot. If you have only pressed it once only the drivers door is unlocked. If you have only pressed it once and you have started the car push the locking button on the door and the pull it this will then unlock all the doors and boot too so you don't have the turn the car off and press the unlock button on the key fog again. The locking button or lever is located above the door opening handle inside the car the smaller one of the two

Hi, I recently stated having issued with my jaguar. It is a Jaguar S Type 3.0 year 2000. First the windows from both back doors stopped working they dont go down anymore only the driver and the passengers...

The problem I think is in the fuses. There is a fuse for every electrical stuf and there is for the each door windows. Check wich one is and verfy if is burned.
For the unlocking problem check if you press two times fast the unlocking buton if that will open all doors. Try to turn the key right and hold it for at least 5 sec.
Between the plates lights have a small opening to insert the key and open the trunk.
Try all this. If you don't have a drawing with all fuses check internet.

Unable to lock or un-lock,it does its own thing by locking then unlocking every time.

You have to check the door Modules and locks, as the modules are the part that is responsible for locking and unlocking the doors and the locks are electric parts. So what you need to check while sitting inside the car , when you lock the doors which lock does not lock with the rest , or which one opens first , and that is probably the one you need to check.
