I had a routine tire rotation and car alignment on yesterday. As I drove my car later in the evening, the vsc/ecm dash light came on, followed by the brake and battery light, radio and dash lamp lights began to dim. I continued to drive. Approximately 10 miles later, the car began to loose power and stopped.

Sounds like repair technicians may have done something under hood. Check battery voltage.

Sounds like you lost the charge from the alternator.
When the alternator quits charging your battery light comes on and your car will run on battery power only...and only for a short time.
As the battery gets its stored energy used up...everything that is electrical will get slow or dim.

I'd check your alternator for proper operation and its drive belt...

Hope this helps...

Had my 2007 prius serviced this am. on the way home a red light light came on with a tire light and a amber vsc check light came on. What does this mean?

You need to get the fault codes read because of the red check engine light coming on. Do you have an OBDII reader? or does a friend have one? If not ... I would take it back to where you got it serviced.
The piece of data that could be helpful is the check engine light going on after refueling. If you are lucky ... you may have not 100% screwed the fuel cap back on with the final clicking. That can cause the check engine light to go on. It is curious though that your tire and VSC lights went on ... there may be something electrical going haywire.

My chech vsc light is on and the car shakes when you drive it could it be that it need an aligment

As long as you have any OBD dash check light on, you
always do as you have in the past & check for codes
& resolve those code related issues first

The VSC is part of the abs braking system & you
should get codes related to that system

Can't work on todays vehicles at home without factory
diagnostic charts,need a repair shop

Unless you have worn suspension parts or tire wear
as a result, ask yourself why an alignment would even
come to mind, because of the shaking?

If you have shaking & no system malfunction lights as
you now do,then you would go check for worn suspension
parts or damage

I have had many vehicles I owned for 18 years & one now I have had for 29 years & never had to align

Both the engine lights and the VSC warning light appeared on the dash simultaneoulsy this evening while driving - what might this be?

Had this happen to my '05 Vibe (Matrix evil clone) recently. Mechanic read & reset codes. The non-flashing Engine light showed 2 large emission leaks. The VSC could be any number of things. He said hopefully it was a false positive on the VSC... potentially expensive to fix. Lights stayed off for a couple weeks & are now back on. I'm planning on seeing him later today. Also, said stability light stayed off, it is still working. fwiw...

How many miles until I need to change my coolant, brakes, engine belts, rotating/pressure for my tires, alignment, windshield wiper blades and fluid, transmission, air filter, power steering fluid, shock...

depends on how you drive, the car will tell you when you need to change the oil, tire pressure, most tire shops will tell you 5000 miles then rotate tires, remember front to back same side do not change right sides for left sides, as far as trans oil, never, wipers depends on what kind of area you are in.

Lexus RX300 engine light n VSC light comes on

VSC means Vehicle Stability Control.

It comes on when the sensor send a signal that the vehicle is not stable on the ground.....check the wheel balancing and alignment and the air pressure of your tires too.

Good luck.

Had tires rotated yesterday now little light in dash is on tried to press the tire reset button but light won't go off

Check the tire pressure on all four tires. Then if it is still lit, then reset to see if it disappears.
