Battery cables are totally clean?
hen try this
Use the key to manually unlock the driver's side door. This temporarily deactivates the alarm, giving you access to the inside of the suv.Place the key in the ignition and turn it forward one notch so that the battery activates, but the car isn't running. Look for the alarm box under the dashboard. Some models have an override button that's either black or red. Other models have a toggle switch on the box to override the alarm. Press and hold the override button in until you hear the alarm chirp once, signaling the alarm is disabled. If you have a toggle, flip it in the opposite direction

Rav4 alarm sensitivity

No there is no such adjustment. The system has a faulty part, likely a door latch anti tamper switch that is affected by the cool temperatures at night. You will need to contact the dealer for testing and diagnosis

Hi,
It's in the Owner's Manual. Or go to Toyota.com, create an account and look it up in the Owner's section.

2002 Toyota rav4 nothing in my car is working from outside lights to interior lights a/c windows radio etc.

you could have bad battery connectors or bad ground wire. if you had a volt meter you could check the voltage on the battery and it should have 13-14 volts

My alarm can be set for hours and then starts going off for no reason, why?

There is a reason and a body control module scan tool can pin point it when the fault happens.

2004 RAV4 won't turn over, do I need a new battery?

IT SOUNDS LIKE THE BATTERY IS DEFECTIVE, LOW BATTERY VOLTAGE WILL TRIGGER THE ALARM SYSTEM. ANY AUTO PARTS STORE LIKE AUTOZONE AND OTHERS WILL TEST THE BATTERY FOR FREE.

Turn off alarm

put the key in the driver's side door key hole and turn the key to unlock it. Turn the key twice in the direction to unlock, I think it's top of the key towards the front of the car. Works on my wife's car

Can not lock car by key remote . toyota rav 4 53 plate

If your car has an alarm with a separate remote, it is a separate system and it is probably self-arming. When you lock the doors with the key central lock, the alarm gets armed by the RAV4 being OFF and the door locking action. When you unlock the doors with the key, the alarm is still armed because the key is not comunicating with the alarm just the cars factory keyless system.
