The 20 min time out is the GEM or Body Module, which is normal only because you have a bad switch, otherwise it goes to sleep when either front door opens
Put radio on & open a door, the radio should go off & kill the time delay if no issues exist
That is because the switch is faulty and is not operating when the door is closed.
Hence the interior light stays on(unless you switch it off manually) and the warning system thinks the door is still open because the switch has not been activated and therefore the open door warning appears.
Hence you need to have the door operated switch replaced.
this is the door open light indicator on your instrument panel correct? it thinks the door is open. do interior courtesy lights work? i.e. turn on off when opening doors? check for "normally open" circuit faults in the door switches
Check your DOME light switch. There are 3 positions. Completely OFF even with doors open, ON with doors shut so you can read while parked, NORMAL for the lights to come on only when the doors are open.
Your headlight switch will also turn everything ON inside when it is turned completely to one side. Just twist this switch a little towards center if this is on.
check each door jamb button (can't think of the correct term). close all doors except one... push the button manually... does the interior light go off... if it does move on to the next door. that will narrow down where the problem is... or it should. it also could be the relay for the interior lights located on the fuse panel under the dash.
Lube your door latches. One of the door ajar switches are sticking . Use wd40 or some othe spray lube . Spray into the latch and open and close doors several time.
