1989 3.0 manual trans. Where is the voltage regulator located?

Hi

Since we're dealing with power, please first identify what the part looks like from an online search and then open the hood of your vehicle and look around the area of the battery. .If not found, please try check from the under the car of the hood area as well.

Thank you.

I have jag 2000 s type im getting enigne fail safe mode sign i went jag dealer they gave bill of $1093.89but problem is still there i have 129000 miles on it ,when sign comes i feel little bit of power lose while on cruise or without cruise please help me on this im really upset about this thanks peter

First try to find a Good Independent Jaguar specialist, as these tend to give much better service on difficult problems than the main dealers who always seem to just want to put new parts on your car and give you a massive Bill ! Fail safe mode can be caused by many things. faulty temp sensor - throttle position sensor - air flow sensors- faulty coils - the list is endless ! Get the codes read on your car by a specialist - this history will show areas where the fault lies. If the codes are not too clear a running monitor test on your car when in use can help to identify the problem area. But make sure you take it to a GOOD garage ! Don't panic as the fact that the car is still drivable and the fault resets when restarted shows that the problem is in one of the electronic sensors - components or could even be a corroded wire in a cable loom. There is a list of known problem areas and reoccurring faults that will be known or accessible to a Jag specialist or Good Garage. Hope this helps - good luck.
