Tip & How-To about Honda Accord

Is your check engine light on?

If your check engine light is on, it is usually a bad sensor. You can go to your closest Autozone and they will hook it up to their hand held diagnostic computer and tell you what sensors are causing the light to be on.

You've got a bad sensor. Take it to advance auto, orielly's or autozone. They will hook up for nothing and tell you what sensor is bad.

ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON CAR HESITATES

First of all, take the car to a Autozone, Kragen, O'reilly, or some parts store chain. They can hook up a hand held analyzer to your car's computer and read a code for you, then give you a printout of what it is, all for free. Probably some type of sensor. So, do that first, and go from there. take care and good luck.

engine misfire and engine management light comes on

Try taking it to Autozone, Kragen, or O'reilly auto parts or a large auto parts store. Take it when the light is on, so they can hook up their hand held analyzer to the car's computer and read a code, then they will do a print out for you with what the code means. All for free. May just be a simple sensor replacement or spark wiring issue. take care and good luck

check engine

If it is the check engine light, just take it to Autozone or O'reilly auto parts or call your local auto parts store. They will hook up a hand held analyzer for free. Then they will give you a written code with the definition of what it is and go from there. It is most likely a sensor of some sort. If you take it to a mechanic shop or a dealer, they may charge up to 100 dollars just to read the code. Good luck and best wishes.

check engine light

I just did this with my 1996 outback's check engine light. It is some sort of sensor, oxygen, egr, etc. Go to a place like Autozone parts store or any of the parts stores that will do a free test for you by hooking up their hand held analyzer to your computer. They will read the code and give you a printout of what it means. Take care and good luck.
