Tip & How-To about Dodge Ram 1500

Dodge tail lights park lights license plate lights not working.

It's without question a bad fuse box. Ordered one for $400 from dealer (currently on national backorder). when i received the fuse box it also contained a cover shield which needed to be installed. why the cover shield? Dodge knows there was a design flaw that causes the fuse box to get wet and go bad. It takes 20 minutes to change the box yourself (take your time with it clips are very sensitive) or spend around $1000 at the dealer. I believe in accountability and dodge really dropped the ball on this one.

My windshield wipers completely stopped working. My mechanic said that a wire had come loose. They worked of 3 seconds and then stopped again. Now the mechanic states that it is the windshield wiper motor. Windshield wiper motors for this car are on national backorder and noone knows when they will be in. Is there anything else I can do to get my wipers working?

if the motor is bad. go to the local junk yard and find one for your car if possible! a way to check the wiper motor to see if its bad. is power getting to motor! with wiper switch on, if it is then motor is bad. or you can run a jumper wire from positive on battery to positve on motor itself. if it is good, it will turn on. check power to motor first. good-day! if no power to motor it may possibly be the switch or wiring, if all fuses are ok.

air blows cold in rear and hot in front - 1999 Dodge Durango

the blend dooractuator is bad. They are on National backorder. The factory that makes them is closed during the Chrysler restructuring - labor alone will run you $500 + , add another $280 for the part if you can even get one.

engine light is on and the engine seems to sputter.

Take it to a shop immediately! My Tribute did the same thing; manual suggested running a couple of tankfuls of "good" gas through it. By 2nd tank, "explosion" under hood. Ended up being TWO catalyic converters had malfunctioned blowing a hole in a valve. Parts were "nationally backordered" so thinking I'm not the only one having this problem. Jan
