2008 Pontiac G6. I can't get it to rev over 4000 rpm after changing the crankshaft sensor. To reset the crankshaft sensor you have to rev the rpm past 5000.

Question edited for a lot more clarity. That is the worst written English and spelling I have seen for months! :>D Question moved to model category. It sounds like you are in Limp Mode. Was the crankshaft sensor, a proper OEM replacement of a cheap one from Mexico or China? They come faulty as new! Don't go cheap on sensors. https://www.google.com/search?q=2008+pontiac+g6+limp+mode Or it has a rev limiter depending on what you are doing. https://www.google.com/search?q=2008+Pontiac+G6.+I+can%27t+get+it+to+rev+over+4000+rpm ..

2006 Pontiac G6. Anyone know the fuel composition sensor location?

The fuel composition sensor goes by several other names: flex fuel sensor, fuel compensation sensor, and variable fuel sensor. Its exact location varies according to the vehicle's make and model, but you can usually find it in the fuel line that connects the fuel tank and the injectors This for flex fuel models not sure Pontiac had it.

Engine Seized up on a 2006 Pontiac G6

check the oil and coolant levels. if coolant is low pull the sparkplugs and try to turn the engine over if still not turning free remove the serpentine belt and try again, if it turns over ok check the pullyes on the front of the motor to see if they all turn free by hand. a serpentine belt can prevent an engine from turning over if a tensioner, idler, water pump, alternator, or power steering pump is siezed up or starting to seize. being your battery is bad I'm thinking probably the alternator is seized. hope this helps mike.

2006 Pontiac G6 GTP changed shift solenoids but still not shifting correctly and odometer is reading error. How do I fix this please?

You fell into the "Let's try replacing this" method of car repair Gina. It doesn't work and is expensive. A pro grade bi-directional scan tool computer can diagnose faulty solenoids by instructing them to operate and verify that they have. The Odometer display is instructed by the ECM which also talks to the Transmission Control Module. You have a computer issue not a mechanical issue. https://www.google.com/search?q=auto+electrician+near+me The Mobile Services will come to you. ..

Have a 2006 pontiac g6 leaking oil above starter where is it coming from?

I always buy a service manual from advance or some parts supplier for every vehicle I own, that way the manual tells me how the parts are mounted to the motor and their location to the rest of the motor. I am not sure where the starter is located on a Pontiac G6 but look above it if you have to use a flashlight, if your oil filter is near it, make sure it is tight and not loose. Sometimes valve pan gaskets leak and run down the side of motor making us believe oil is coming from another place, just start looking and you will find it.

Why does my 2010 Pontiac G6 crank only so often then shut off?

Question edited for clarity, add maker and typos. Question moved to model category. It sounds like you are confused what 'cranking' is? Cranking just means turning over. In the old days cars were started using a cranked handle with a spigot that was latched onto the crankshaft and turned by hand. After the cranking, the engine should start or fire. You either have a faulty Fuel Pump Relay, or a faulty pump. Both can be tested. https://www.google.com/search?q=2010+pontiac+g6+fuel+pump+relay+location ..
