2004 Grand Am GT,Pontiac, My turn signal lights up to signal but doesn't blink and my flasher lights up and doesn't flash. Please advise

Your indicator relay has stopped working. You will need to replace the relay. If you have an owners workshop manual you can locate it yourself. Failing that ask on google for the location of the correct relay generally located in or near the fuse boxes, but can be located under the steering column. Make sure you know which is the correct relay as there maybe be the starter motor relay and others located nearby. Good luck. S

Car just overheated, water pump bad?

More than likely that's the problem. It happens to me two months ago. I checked the antifreeze and the hoses to be sure that wasn't it to be sure first then brought it in for a new water pump.

What is causing the hdlpc ctrl relay in the under the hood fuse panel to continuously click. This happens even when the vehicle is off.

If you are sure you have located the correct relay, on some cars the hdlp relay is used to shut on and off the headlamps when they are not activated by the headlamp switch, such as when they are used for "auto" setting, daytime running or for convenience feature (when the headlights stay on for one minute or so, when you shut the car off). remove the relay and see if the "auto" headlight function is working (do it at night, with the car outside), If the relay is clicking, then there might be a bad connection, poor ground or the light sensor (which determines if there is daylight) is bad. Do I have to reset the timing belt if I do this?

No you will not have to reset the timing belt. I would not use the rope down a spark plug hole as there would be a good chance of bending a valve or rod. Find some way of stopping the engine from rotating at the fly wheel or flex plate.

Serious Serpentine Belt Issue!

Look at the pulleys with the belt off. Are they aligned? If so then one of the pulleys is bad. This would cause a belt to come off tract. If the balancer is out, check the bolt, tighten it back to where the balancer is back in line with the rest.

No brake pressure

Sounds like a bad or empty Master cylinder or slave brake system leakage . Check the master for full brake fluid. Look for leaks at each wheel. Maybe the system has to be bled. Hope this helps.

Engine runs few sec and quits

This may be related to the antitheft system The system is known for turning off the starter or injectors when it fails. Is there a light on the dash that says SECURITY? This is a common problem worth looking into. http://www.diy-gm-security.com/ & http://newrockies.com/

Car doesn't start up immediately

Well here's a start. Find the BCM(body control module). Most of what you talked about is related to this. It is a 5 inch by 5 inch black square box, under the dash on the passenger side. There are three plugs going to it, check them closely for corrosion, also check the BCM where they plug to. Clean them best you can. What ever it takes. (reason to follow) If they are corroded fairly bad (Lots of green coloring), then you will need to take the cover off the BCM to get to the PC board. It will have corrosion also. On the board use a soft brass brush to clean any green discoloration off of it. Be very nice to the board, as you can also clean off parts that you don't want off. Doesn't sound like your to that point yet. The reason for the corrosion is they put the BCM under the blower. It creates moisture and condensation and drips on the BCM. The BCM is not weather packed, so the water seeps right into the connections And the BCM. Everyone one I fix, I wrap plastic around it to keep the water from getting to it. Then put it back in place.
