When the O2 sensor reports lean, it is dumping extra fuel which causes carbon fouling. This takes a while to burn off or you can use an 'Extreme Clean' type fuel system cleaner.

The pump is located underneath the car, a short distance away from the fuel tank. It is mounted above a protective plate and looks similar to a fuel filter canister. You will need to clamp the fuel supply pipe BEFORE you remove the pump. Remember this is Petrol your working with! You will most likely have to remove the bracket plate it mounted on to get the pump out.

Make sure you have power to the switch and that power is getting to the motor when switched on. If you are getting 12v to the motor and it is properly grounded, replace the motor. If you aren't getting 12v to the motor make sure you have 12v at the switch. If it doesn't go past the switch when you turn it on, replace the switch. If it does, check the wires between the switch and the motor. If you don't have 12v at the switch, check the fuse box. It's a pretty simple circuit
I am assuming yours is the four cylinder 2.5 litre engine. It will have 2 oxygen sensors. One will be near the engine before the catalytic converter, Either in the exhaust manifold or in the down pipe closest to it. That one is commonly referred to as the "Upstream" sensor. The OBD2 engine diagnostics will list it as "Bank One, Sensor One".
The second oxygen sensor is located just after the catalytic converter, often underneath the vehicle as the exhaust curls under the engine. This one is usually referred to as the "Downstream" sensor or "Bank One, Sensor Two" in the diagnostic system.
You can usually spot them easily as the stick out at 90' from the exhaust pipe with a thin wire coming out of it.
There are several possible causes of this issue. The first thing to do is to check if the transmission fluid is low. If the fluid level is low, it can indicate a leak or a problem within the transmission itself. You should also check the fluid pressure as well as the condition of the transmission filter and fluid. If the filter is clogged or if the fluid is contaminated or excessively worn, this could cause the transmission to not shift properly. If it's aftermarket it is probably the control box. Check for power and ground at the aftermarket box, then you can check for outputs when the remote is pressed. If it isn't sending the signal to the BCM you have found the issue.
These codes refer to the sensor that reads which gear the transmission is in. The Transmission Range Sensor. The sensor is getting the wrong signal from the transmission. I'm not familiar with Rangers but there is usually a transmission 're-learn' trick that can reset the transmission to factory settings.

Turn the ignition to the second position, (Ignition On - Engine OFF). Wait for the dashboard lights to turn off.
Press the accelerator pedal all the way down as far as it will go and hold it there. Keep it pressed down for at least 30 seconds.
Keep the pedal pressed down and turn the ignition to the off position. DO NOT remove the key.
Do nothing else for 2 minutes.
After that remove the key, count to 10, then go for a drive. This should reset the transmission.
