My 2006 hyundai santa fe 2.7l timing belt broke and car jumped time I got everything on but my pulley will only turn like 180 degrees either way what could be wrong

You have what is called an interference engine, or another words there isn't clearance for your valves to be open and the piston be at the top of their stroke at the same time. When your belt broke, the pistons hit the open valves and bent them. You need to remove the heads and have new valves installed to repair your engine. Service intervals are not just a recommendation...

Will a 20 inch rim 7.5 with a 49.5 offset fit a 2014 fg ute

The fit of a rim on a vehicle depends on several factors, including the size and width of the rim, the tire size, and the suspension and brake components of the vehicle. In general, a 20-inch rim with a 7.5-inch width and a 49.5 offset should fit a 2014 FG ute as long as the tire size is appropriate for the rim and the vehicle has sufficient clearance for the rim and tire combination. It is always recommended to consult with a mechanic or refer to the manufacturer's specifications to determine the correct rim and tire size for your vehicle. Using the wrong size rim and tire combination can cause issues with the performance and handling of the vehicle and may also void the manufacturer's warranty.

How to completely remove front headrest on Hyundai ix35

You probably can’t. Especially if you didn’t have the car from new. Some are permanently fixed to stop them being a weapon usable against the driver, or the front seat being used without it.

09 Hyundai genesis 4.6 timing alignment marks

The timing alignment marks on a 2009 Hyundai Genesis with a 4.6-liter engine are located on the crankshaft pulley and the camshaft sprockets. To align the timing, you'll need to follow these steps:
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent any electrical accidents.
  2. Remove the timing cover to access the timing chain and sprockets.
  3. Rotate the crankshaft pulley until the timing mark on the pulley is aligned with the timing mark on the engine block.
  4. Rotate the camshaft sprockets until the timing marks on the sprockets are aligned with the timing marks on the cylinder head.
  5. Check the timing chain tension and adjust it if necessary.
  6. Replace the timing cover and reconnect the negative battery cable.
It's important to follow the proper procedures and use the correct tools when working on the timing of your engine. If you're not comfortable with this task, it's always best to seek the assistance of a professional mechanic.

Overheating problem for 1996 Hyundai lantra sportswagon

If you have already checked the radiator, fluids, thermostat, and thermo fans and your 1996 Hyundai Lantra Sportswagon is still overheating, there could be other issues causing the problem. Here are a few other things you can check:
  1. Water pump: The water pump is responsible for circulating coolant through the engine and radiator. If the water pump is not functioning properly, it can cause the engine to overheat.
  2. Head gasket: The head gasket seals the cylinder head to the engine block. If the head gasket is damaged or fails, it can allow coolant to leak into the engine, which can cause the engine to overheat.
  3. Cylinder head: If the cylinder head is cracked or damaged, it can cause the engine to overheat.
  4. Engine block: If the engine block is damaged or has a crack, it can cause the engine to overheat.
  5. Clogged radiator: If the radiator is clogged with debris, it can prevent the coolant from flowing properly and cause the engine to overheat.
To determine the cause of the overheating problem, it will be necessary to perform a thorough inspection of the engine and related components. If you are unable to locate the source of the problem or are not comfortable attempting to fix it yourself, it is recommended to have the vehicle inspected by a professional mechanic.

My h100 hyundai bakkie is stuck in reverse gear how do I get it out

There are a few steps you can try to get your Hyundai H100 out of reverse gear:
  1. Shift the transmission into neutral: Try shifting the transmission into neutral by moving the gearshift lever to the neutral position. If the lever is stuck or difficult to move, you may need to apply more force or use a tool to lever it out of place.
  2. Check the linkage: The linkage between the gearshift lever and the transmission can sometimes become disconnected or damaged, causing the transmission to get stuck in one gear. If the linkage is the problem, you may need to have it repaired or replaced.
  3. Check the transmission: If the transmission is the problem, you may need to have it serviced or replaced. This is a more serious issue and should be addressed by a mechanic.
  4. Check the brake system: If the brake system is not functioning properly, it may be preventing the transmission from coming out of reverse gear. Check the brake fluid level and inspect the brake system for any leaks or other issues.
If you are unable to get your Hyundai H100 out of reverse gear using these steps, it is recommended to have it inspected by a mechanic. They will be able to diagnose the problem and recommend the appropriate repairs.

I have a 2004 Hyundai Elantra with electrical issues

2004 Hyundai Elantra a real melt down (or just humor to say battery died as all do often) most batteries never last 10 years, ever.(my 50y records me)
  1. check all fuses first cab and engine bay.
  2. check battery voltage running 13 to 15vdc good less is alternator is dead, (3 fuses bad makes new alternators fail too)
  3. you never put the battery in backwards right?
  4. you never jump started the car jumper cables backwards right?
  5. scan the PCM yet, I bet it tells DTC errors, that you missed.
  6. PCM means DLC ODB2 16pin port, all USA cars have 96 up.
  7. what does melt down mean and doing what? IDK.

Is it hard to fix a speed sensor on a 2015 hyundai elantra 4d

cart before house. stop guessing. step 1 on all cars DIAGNOSE FIRST. (or go broke super fast) is check fuses first then scan the PCM for TCM errors. drive is dead can be simple, even bad shift cable. we do a physically inspect to be sure the gear shift linkage is working correctly, the fuses and last PCM scans. this tranny is electronically shifted bet you will not drop the pan take bath in ATF oil, and then replace all sensors and solenoids for fun.. so learn to scan, buy the scanner, (rent or borrow one) scan it, see speed sensor errors or PWC or solenoid errors or pressure switch errors/ bingo it must be scanned first on ALL MODERN CARS, guessing is super bad IDEA

2012 Hyundai Elantra issues involving steering wheel?

lets start with i'm not a professional mechanic i'm a pretty fair shade tree hobby mech guy now.. with the air bag i would say have a mechanic do it.. if you do it ..you are on your own about the air bag ..just disconnect the battery before you try anything with this ...also go to youtube and see how others remove steering wheels and the buttons with an airbag. .. (that is so dangerous) .. now .. it sounds to me (and i'm just guessing) like you have a wire inside your steering column grounding against something (or a bad ground itself) this might be as simple as a loose screw on one of the components or a wire that has been rubbing or mashed to the point where some isolation has been compromised .. again i'm just guessing but if this is the case i question if the air bag might trigger itself sometime for no reason as you are driving along ... if this is a wire grounding it (might) (could) cause that air bag to trigger .... i really don't know. that is the worst case otherwise it could be a computer issue, a common ground, even a bad wire in the fuse box.. but it sure sounds like you have a problem in the column

Hyundai xg350L trunk light will not shut off how do i fix?

It sounds like there may be an issue with the trunk light switch in your Hyundai xg350L. In order to fix this issue, you will need to locate the trunk light switch and see if it is stuck in the "on" position or if there is a problem with the wiring. If the switch is stuck, you can try to gently pry it loose with a small flathead screwdriver. If that doesn't work, you may need to replace the switch.

BCM is body brain and runs all lamp, in odd ways, you don't know yet. answering for only USA cars, LHD. brake lamps are rear amps 2 or 3 total that socket burnup (where) is signs of dead shorted lamp. needs new lamp first and new socket 2nd. the IPS runs all 3 rear stop lamps left, center and right. facts, Schematic on my screen all 3 lamps use the same single wire to glow. branks but not ground left uses GF04 ground wire to body. GF04 ground runs the other 2 lamps. so the only failure here is left lamp
  • the lamp bad
  • the wire bad (or socket0
  • or the ground bad GF04
2 man job, step brake, 2nd man meter in hand. a voltmeter tells you which one is bad. step on brake pedal 12vdc here, all 3 on that 1 wire. ground reads 0v. yes ,yes, then lamp is bad. left-undefined-undefined-0_0.jpg meter black test wire must be to perfect metal ground for tests. max ground volts is 0.5vdc max.but 0 is goal. the lamp shorted I guess and burned up parts related.

Have a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.5L v6. Added a fuel injector cleaner with a new tank of gas and now experiencing rough idling and getting error codes P0300, P0301, P0303, & P0305. What's going on?

P0300 is Random Misfire. 01, 03 and 05 narrows it down to those cylinders. Clean throttle body and MAF, you may have carbon flaking off and fouling plugs. You could try taking it for a good thrash down the highway for an hour.
