Due to digital encryption, you cannot just enter a "number" into the car's computer.
The car's computer has to be linked into a Toyota diagnostic computer of some type, in order to get the Toyota car to accept the "ID code" of the new/replacement smart key.Due to this this key replacement is done by Toyota only.In some rare cases, if non-used key is bought online then in some cases it works by entering the code.-------

But if key is not accepting the code, then that key needs to be reprogrammed by the dealer or new un-used key from dealer is required.Which needs to be reprogrammed and that will work.-------
