2001 Toyota Sequoia Questions & Answers
My horn doesn't work, the air bag light is on and
yes, it sounds like the problem is there. There is a spiral cable unit directly below the steering wheel that is most likely the problem, the air bag circuit and horn circuits go through this spiral cable. I probably needs to be replaced.
How can I get rid of valve tapping?
Hi Complete Auto:
- I would first check to make sure that I had the correct amount of oil in the engine. Basic, but essential.
- The valve tapping will be happening due to too much clearance between the rocker arm and the valve. Follow that back and there will be slack between the rocker arm and pushrod, and then back to the lifter.
- The lifters have an integral hydraulic action that pumps oil through the hollow pushrod to the rocker arm assembly.
- If the lifter "pumping" has failed due to contamination or some other reason, it will need to be replaced.
- If there is too much slack and the rocker is adjustable, slack off the lock nut and turn the adjustment until the tapping stops. Then tighten the lock nut and re-install the rocker/valve cover.
Hope this helps.
Cheers.
Ecu wiring diagram
You need to go to eBay and try to find the wiring diagram or contact dealer on your area. I was able to find a wiring diagram in eBay for my classic car a Ford 1979. New no less.

Change cabin filter
Open the glove box
Remove all of the contents in the glove box
On the right side, dis-engage the rod going to the split plastic pin on the glove box door
Squeeze both other sides of the glove box to defeat the stops that keeps the glove box from falling open
Observe the box in the area vacated by letting the glove box drop down, this is the heater box
Locate a rectangular cover (approx 7 " x 2"), it is located on the face of the box; facing you.
Pull this cover out towards you, the cabin air filter is located in the tray that is connected to this rectangular cover.
