My toyota eho 2001 dont
If you hear no "cranking sound" when you turn the ignition it may be the starter or a relay between the starter and the ignition. I say this because starters are not prone to failure. The last starter I replaced was in a 25 year old car with less than 75,000 miles on it.
I'd recommend you register for free at

I have a 2001 Echo
does the vehicle have theft lock on it? i had a fam. member this week go three days without his vehicle that ran awesome too. using the same key he always did and all... i went and looked at his vehicle, noticed the theft light would come on when i put the key in the ignition, so i asked him about the key, and he said thats the one he always used, so i had him get me the original key for the vehicle, ( the one he was using he had made, and put the original up) he got it for me i put it in the ignition and the vehicle started right up.... there is a code in the key that the vehicle reads and if its not there the vehicle will not start.. Like i said he had used his key he had made, the whole time he has owned the vehicle, and it just now decided to do it.. dont know why... but hey its a thought.. hope this helps
Is there a way to
No there is no way you will have to bring it to autozone which they will pull the codes for free on OBDII cars
How do I replace the brake pads on a 2001 toyota
My suggestion is to get a repair manual if your going to work on your
own vehicle, and it's easy and inexpensive to get a high quality repair
manual. To be better prepared, read up on the job you're about to
perform, it will show you component locations, bolt torque settings and
what special tools you'll need.
Try

2001 Echo stalls when coming
this could be a fews things...Bad fuel or water in tank.. Replace fuel filter and put some high octane boost in the tank and fill up with 93 octane. You may need a tune up
Why my motor miss during acceleration?
MISSING CAUSED BY MANY THINGS LIKE BAD SPARK PLUGS, WEAK IGNITION COILS.STOPPED UP FUEL FILTER OR FUEL INJECTORS.WEAK FUEL PUMP.CHECK FUEL PUMP PRESSURE SHOULD BE 44 - 50 PSI.LOW CYLINDER COMPRESSION CAUSE MISSING.
Make noise not all the time but squiky the noise
Are you in a state where it gets pretty cold in winter? You may have a component in the belt system about to seize up.That happened to me when I lived in NY.I heard a squeak for a while, then 1 day the belt broke.I replaced it,drove about 10 miles and it broke again. My a/ccompressor had seized. You may just need a belt but if you are going to self-repair,draw a diagram of the belt loops and after you take off the belt, turn all components and they should turn slightly freely, yet still kind of difficult, sorry it is hard to explain though.Inspect your belt for many small, slightly widening cracks,or larger cracks,or fraying on the edges. You will not be able to turn the engine belt drive.Good luck! track rod end ?' undo teh nut then wack the steering joint where it goes through with a big hammer and it will jump out ,count the number of turns you unscrew it then fit new one to this number of turns.then to tyre shop for a re track unless you are good with a piece of string
Wrong terminal put on battery
The power trains engine computer is always on linked to the battery. You will need to replace that before anything else can be determined wrong or burnt out as well
Car was parked for two year, change oils, filter
See if spraying some silicone or penetratng oil on belts, while running, quiets the noise. They may have dryed out from sitting. If it is an engine noise, run vehicle till hot,15 to 20 minutes, then change oil & filter again. You may have moisture or rust built up or a bad bypass valve in oil filter.
