did you try another h/L bulb?

Brother Mark, I know just what you mean. What happened is that the wire on the end of the cable has pulled out of the hole on the lever at the control because the cable has dried inside the housing and needs lubrication. Near impossible to do without taking it out, then mas as well replace the cable. Most likely the lever on the control valve that shuts the water line off at the firewall has stiffened up and caused you to force it and pulled the cable out at the valve in front of you on the firewall under hood. I don't know pricing on this stuff because I always do my own work. I build my vehicles, not buy them. Either way, it's the water control valve and cable that need attention. I just open the valve with pliers under the hood for winter if I don't feel like changing it right away. the other stuff on the control panel works fine.

check the switch for the blower on the heater unit it's the one for adjusting the speeds I had to replace one on mine it was faulty

Check the heater fan motor they have a tendency to have the shaft bearing wear out and make a squealing noise from time to time depending on how the shaft wobbles and that is the reason you don't hear it when the heater and ac is off.

Your back up light switch is stuck. Where you shift into rev. down column under dash or under console shifter. Free and oil

Hope this helps Mike

The center console piece around the floor shifter should normally be held in place with plastic clips ( some are held with screws ) and should just pop up with a gentle tug. The bulb can then be accessed for replacement

Take a heavy gauge coat hanger wire. Straighten the wire. Slide wedge into the gap on your car's door. Try to engage the end of wire on to the lock and pull it until it is unlocked. Although it will take time but keep on attempting to pull out the lock.
Good Luck.

At the user end it is not possible to replace the heater core at home.
It requires to remove the complete dash board assembly, and many other relating parts and sub assemblies.
Better to get the job done by some workshop.

this indicates you have a multiple miss fire on different cylinders. it could be plugs, wires, injector, just some things it could be.

2001 Toyota Echo | 153 views | 0 helpful votes

Code 300 is for a random miss which could be ignition or fuel related.
The problem is not yet bad enough for the engine computer to pick just one cylinder.

Check battery for at least 12 volts if you have less or a grate deal less it may be a chargeing problem. Charge battery if you have low volts. See if it will start if it dus check to see how much power your battery is getting from the charging system or if the car is just running off the battery and draining it down. Had you notest anything funny about the way your car was acting before it died even days before? Just start checking simple first then hardest last and checking the battery and charging system for voltage is the most simple in my opinion. Good luck

this car has a tail light control relay that if it failed would cause the tail light and dash lights to fail. see
Also there is a second fuse in the engine bay that if it blows it will cut power to the fuse in the interior fuse panel for the tail light fuse .If you look at the circuit diagram it is labeled fl block ALT.

see link below for most likely location of FL block alt fuse

See also relay location in link below
Having also read a few other forum suggestions on a yaris the fuse may be under a red cover on the red wires coming out of the battery. There are 2 60 amp fuses possibly under the cover.
These can be damaged when a car is jump started incorrectly I do not know if you have jump started your car but this is a possible cause.
