2000 Avalon keyless remotes stopped working: solution Both keyless remotes for my 2000 Avalon stopped working. The batteries were good (I checked them with a volt-ohm meter). The Toyota dealer determined that the remote used most was defective and it tried to initialize the receiver in the car. This caused the second remote also not to work. The dealer reset the receiver (reinitialized it after first unplugging it), replaced the defective remote with a new one, and reprogrammed both remotes. Total cost: $225 labor, 164 for new remote. Later, another remote went bad. I just stopped using it.

Hello, the check engine light turning on will turn the other lights on as well even if there is nothing wrong with those systems, so the first thing to do is to find out why the light is on, most autoparts stores like autozozne, pep boys etc usually diagnose this at no charge, they give you the diagnostic codes and explain to you what should be replaced. Code 110 means the signal the computer is getting from the intake air temp sensor is out of range. The sensor and wiring would need to be checked.

the check engine light? airbag light? oil light? if so, take a car OBD2 code reader to have a check.

If you are using "home-made" or "burnt" CDs, this can happen. Sometimes, you can remove the radio from the dash, and unplug it. That may reset the CD player, and the discs will eject.
