Yes Joe Just don't try and bypass it. You can keep cancelling the code. The ECM will try and work things out and compensate. If this was the vehicle that had the fuel system cleaner, it may right itself over a half tank with cleaner. i tried to decode this "and doesn't start it's not the fuel because I checked and even put in carb it should take when swinging (cranking) " I guess he meant sprayed test fuel to carb air horn, fails? the cam belt is bad,(slipped) and fully expected. and your adding fuel test is ON THE MARK, proves engine or spark dead.(mostly)

I would start with a tune up - plugs, wires, all filters & fluids changed. Make sure your tire pressures are up (check with a tire pressure gauge)

try to clean your throttel body

check your dipstick and see if your oil is whitish if so cylinder head gasket is gone

you should be able to from the front part you may have to put a jack under the base pan and lower the engine down to access it good luck

probably clutch switch adjustment or failure
