IF YOU REPLACED THE HEADS WITH REBUILT/NEW HEADS: A side effect of increasing compression when you bolt on fresh heads, is broken piston rings. It's beneficial to replace the rings & bearings and at least remove the ring ridge at the top of the cylinder wall if not re-bore when replacing heads due to the higher compression that will cause. If you just put on a set of used heads. There's also the chance that the new headgaskets didn't seal completely, (usually due to a problem with surface prep or a warped head/block), but if you've got high mileage, it's usually the rings.A set of rings can be replaced, but you'll want to make sure they haven't cut into the bore so much as to cause blow-by once new rings are installed. Eliminating the ridge by carefully using a ridge reamer at the top of the cylinder to prevent breakage of the top ring from impact.Hone the cylinder walls gently & reinstall pistons & new rings!Good luck.

I have a 93 4runner v6 manual. I went to turn the heater on the other day and no air was coming out of it but when I started driving down the freeway air started coming through the vents. When I stop

sounds like your fan is either jamned, burnt out or even frozen, you might be lucky and find its just a blown fuse, you'll need to check your fuses box then start investigating if the fan turns freely or notif you put the air on recirc you might be able to stop cold air blowing in when you are travelling. if you are waiting for a garage to sort out the fault then get a fan powered by the cigarette lighter, air moving over the window should at least keep mist clear even if it doesnt defrost it

93 4runner new radiator new t stat still

Check: 1. Thermostat. Replace with an OEM one from the dealer. 2. Radiator. Make sure it's not plugged up. 3. Radiator Cap. There cheap from the dealer and I consider them a maint. item. 4. Water pump. How many miles are on it? 5. Fan Clutch. Make sure it has some resistance 6. Temp. Sensor for the gage.Have you checked that the electric cooling fan is turning on when the engine reaches operating temp? A faulty coolant temperature sensor will not trigger the fan, or the fan itself or fan relay could be shot. You might also have a head gasket leak that is not into the cylinders, so it would overheat without causing milky oil. Another possibility is a clogged radiator -- with 15 years on the vehicle, it's quite possible. Have the cooling system pressure checked, and replace the radiator cap for starters -- if the radiator cap isn't holding pressure, overheating will occur rapidly.

Probably a bad motor unless the assembly is missing, the window fuse is actually above the fuse panel by the pedals, so above that left kick panel. It is a 40 and it is pink.

Shifter wont go all the way into park , can't

Having your Toyota 4runner stuck in park can be a frightening situation. It may feel like you're stranded and facing an expensive repair bill. You can avoid being stranded by following a few simple steps, and some of the causes of the problem are easy and very cheap to fix. There is an interlock between the brake pedal and the shifter that will prevent the shifter from moving out of park unless the brake pedal is pressed. The failure of this interlock is often caused by something as simple as a fuse.

    • 1 Locate the fuse box on the vehicle. The location varies with the year and model of 4runner you're driving. Use the owners manual to find yours. A common location on 4runners is under the dashboard in the front seat. There is usually a second box under the hood, close to the battery.
    • 2 Open the fuse box and use the diagram underneath to find the three common causes of interlock failure. Examine the fuse for the head lights, the brake lights and the dashboard lights. Their position will vary depending on the year of the 4runner you are working on, but there is a diagram on the back of the fuse box cover that will help guide you. There is also likely to be a diagram in the owners manual; look in the index under fuses.
    • 3 Replace any blown fuses. You can tell a blown fuse by holding it to the light and seeing whether the filament is attached at both ends. Sometimes you will need to replace the fuse with one you know is not blown, such as a recently purchased one, before you can tell.
    • 4 Turn the engine on, press the brake and try to move the transmission from park. If it still does not work or you do not have the ability to check the fuses, open the flap labeled "shift lock override." In some models the label may have worn off, so look for a small flap somewhere close to the transmission. Press the button under the flap, press the brake and move the transmission from park. You may need to use a screwdriver or ballpoint pen to reach the button because it can be buried.

Passenger front window wont go

It is most likely your power window fuse. Either bring it to a mechanic and they can replace it for less than $20 or you can do it yourself if you know how. Make sure to use the correct replacement fuse when doing it yourself as a higher wattage can blow out your window motors.

I have a 1995 toyota

Hi.

If the glow plugs light turns off immediately (it is supposed to last about ten seconds), then the glow plug heating system is malfunctioning and the glow plugs are not getting correctly heated.

Check the glow plugs relay. The relay is located on the passenger side of the engine bay. The relay has two connectors of two pins each. One pin is positive input that get 12V when you turn key on or press button if glow plugs heating is manual. One pin is ground. One pin is constantly on with 12V, and one is output to glow plugs. Check that ground is OK, that input comes on, and that there is power out to plugs when relay switches on. Output is about 10/11V when you turn key in position and should drop to 7V when you start.

Start getting sure that the relay is clicking if relay has power and does not click, replace it straight away. Do not try jumping the relay, a constant 12V power to the glow plugs will damage the plugs.

If the relay is OK, then the problem is either the temperature sensor or the ECU (main control module) that powers on the relay directly with 12V.

Regards.

Ginko

First, check your battery cable connections to make sure they are tight, and free of corrosion. Also check your ground wires to make sure they are not loose. If this checks out, read ahead.
It sounds like you have a jumped timing belt, maybe a tooth off. If your timing checks out, you probably have a faulty ECM, or computer. I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/jeremy_69f3cc28d95bf514

If you are stopped and it's doing this, it'll most likely be the Idle Air Control Valve. If it does this while you are driving, it sounds like it's either not firing correctly or it may be a fuel issue - example - fuel pump, fuel filter, clogged injector, or just a little bad gas in your tank. Hope this helps.
