could well be the anti theft system cut in for some reason , have you used a new key today ? there is usually a reset procedure involving turning igntion on and off etc , i would phone a toyota dealer and ask them if there is such a procedure for your model , if so i'm sure they will tell you what the exact procedure is , good customer service
